I didn't had everything turned on because the performance dropped even more and the game was not really playable. And yeah, I uninstalled it like you said so, except the post-fx file. --- Post updated --- And yeah, deleting post-fx file pretty much fixed it. Some tweaks and it'll be back to normal, thanks! --- Post updated --- Whoops, nevermind... Touching Post-FX setting in game wrecks the graphics again...
Eff me, thats nasty Well, i cant see where my mod did anything BUT ive noticed a bug in the PostFx, which does turn the contrast way up if you enavle/disable HDR or postfx itself. It will look strong until you restart the game or hits debug hdr.. i think it is.. it might have to do with color correction since ive seen two different version of that file (a one pixel high texture going from black to white or opposite) and one is stronger than the other.
Yes i will need to do changes to my mod, im about to post a message on the first page. I received a message from one of the devs (crazy just how helpful they are with the community) a few days ago with info on things that might cause problems in the update. Chose to not say smthn until now since i didnt ant to cause speculations about the update BTW about that SSAO, i tried for a long time to get SSAO2 ingame but was recommended not to try it cause it was outdated so a new SSAO is thrilling I have found references to HDR and HDR1 earlier, also SSAO and SSAO2 in some files BUT that later can actually been me adding taht without remembering it, though i i think ive reinstalled Beamng since i did those tests. Announcement! Count on my mod being broken with the newest Beamng Update until ive looked at it. If you (most probably you will) have problems, uninstall my mod.
Testing the waters with my mod and the latest (crazy good!!!) release of BeamNG, looks like this atm, with way improved FPS
Be great if you informed us how to remove the mod. It's been blackscreen for me. Also FPS takes a hit, for those wanting 144hz, not the one.
Currently reinstalling, so there goes my wheel settings, mods and re-shades. I get it updates and all, but it's really frustrating that there's minimal implications of reversing this mods effects without re-installing. **EDIT, Excuse my lack of knowledge in the modding world, deleting the cache does reverse it.
About uninstalling, been covered a few times in this thread alone i think but here goes again: Easy way: Either you just use the Clear Cache from the Beamng Lancher. That should remove the mod. If you want the postfx preset to be the default one you can got to your Settings folder (Documents/Beamng.drive/Settings) and delete the default postfx preset file. That will cause the game to reload the vanilla one. Another easy way, if you dont want to use the launchers Clear Cache: Delete the files from the zip (the files oughta be folders called Art, Core, Levels, Shaders and a postfx preset called for example AL8.postfxpreset). If you want the postfx preset to be the default one you can got to your Settings folder (Documents/Beamng.drive/Settings) and delete the default postfx preset file. That will cause the game to reload the vanilla one. Delete the latest cache folder in Documents/Beamng.drive, oughta be called something like 'cache 0.21' now. That should do it. If theres still problems then my mod is not the cause. I do recommend a complete reinstall of BeamNG each time a update comes out, weird problems tends to stack up if you dont. I did it for the last update and i willl for this one. The biggest reason is i dont want to miss out on something being updated, that might not pop up/work if i dont make a fresh install of BeamNG. --- Post updated --- Hope that helps Hope that helps you too Good thing you got it working
someone told me that the rules on this first page? --- Post updated --- can i just extract it into my mods folder?
You can find the installation notes in this post: https://beamng.com/threads/graphics...elastone-2020-12-10.71585/page-8#post-1254636 BUT dont install that, its for 0.20, 0.21 has had some changes but i have a new version running and will release that soon
Working on the final touches to have it working in BeamNG 0.21.1. Overall less bright, other than that its mostly like the previous versions ive released BUT its definitely not as FPS heavy, atleast not on my computer
