Wow, Why is there a seam going through the center?

 

I believe it's where the car was mirrored in blender (or a different modeling program). Instead of creating both sides, you create one side and then mirror it. I would imagine that's how gabester and mythbuster create there cars.

 

To think that this thing would become the Lotus Carlton. Looks great!

Carlton wasn't a vectra, it was a Vauxhall Carlton/Opel Omega.

Yes this is nice car to add to the game ! Had one vectra years back !

 

haha carlton. no these Vectra's were pretty cool, and the newer model year of this generation had funny front end but was another great attempt by GM to create a car that is actually good to drive. We need more basic, family sedans in this game. The GM is too boaty, we need something like this. V6 3.0 type cars etc.

The most powerful engine which Vectra A got, is 2.5 V6 24V, 170 HP engine, with 227 Nm of torque... It takes 7.5 seconds to reach 100 kph...

 

Oh really? I thought they got a 3.2? Or is that the newer generation? Either way, sick model and hopefully we can get it in game...at ANY point lol!

no one was mean to you lol. And the 3 pics, you can see a pretty big difference between the carlton/omega and the Vectra. Sideline view is much different as is the front/rear proportions. However, I don't know (and don't want to wiki it) but are these cars built on the same "family" of chassis?

edit 2: actually, the most powerful engine for the Vectra is not the 2.5 V6, but the turbo 2.0 C20LET that had about 200 hp
edit 3: The Omega and Carlton are based on the V Body (underpins cars from the 60's to mid 2000's, such as commodores, omega, Caddy Catera, Pontiac GTO etc (heavily modified, but similar chassis through the years). The Vectra is based on the GM2900 platform, which astonishingly, underpins the Saab 9-5 that I own. So that's cool. Also a lot of holdens/opels (Calibra, Saturn L series etc) Gotta love Wikipedia lol
