As of today, im getting horrible fps when i start the derby. I normally run 7-9 cars comfortably, but now even when i drop it to 3 cars in the arena, i barely get 20 fps. i have a 9900k and a 2080 super and 32 gb of RAM, so my hardware is more than capable to run this game. With 9 cars i used to be getting over 100fps. Its only when the derby is running. When i hit J to pause it, my fps shoots back up to 100+ fps. Ive checked all my settings and im on the latest graphics drivers.

Doubt it's on my end, you should be able to run max cars with that, had one other guy with a similar issue but not sure what they did to fix... What is bottlenecking?

Hey all! I figured I should give a little update on the state of this mod on the forums here and update the original post! Check it out if you're unfamiliar with the progress that's been made since I last updated here.
Over the summer, with my job shutting down and bug fixes in multiseat being made around the same time, RDP blew up in the derby community on facebook, and development has been nonstop since then and has no plans of slowing down! While this mod has become a bit more focused on the hardcore derby fans, and it also has a lot more to offer than it used to. I put some links in the first post on where you can find the derby community on facebook if you're interested, people host multiplayer derbies pretty much every night.
RDP has just added 71-76 GM wagons, the top requested vehicle! Here's some pictures of it.

If you're talking about the first screenshot in the first post, it is one I made. It is the Topeka Expocenter, the location of the worlds best derby Blizzard Bash. A 2 day event was held on this track a few months ago, sponsored by the promoter of the event, Smash It Demolition Derby. The event was livestreamed on the RDP facebook page with 50k views between the two days

I don't understand what you mean. You're saying you payed for the mod and haven't received any new content?

I don't owe anyone anything for free, you can either play it or not play, I'm not taking anything away from you. This mod is my full time job now. I asked for a beammp server to be taken down because the owner was reported to me numerous times for terrible behavior, and redistributing a paid product after they were given a warning. I know he was giving out the mod because he gave it directly TO ME for free, not knowing I was the author of the mod, reuploaded on a different site with his name on the file. This person has also been banned from almost every discord community on others behalf because of his poor attitude.

There is a beamMP server that still runs RDP with my permission, so long as you are a member of the patreon you can run it, but it mysteriously died down when they started asking for proof of patronage. You are not forced to play the repository version, if you have paid you have access to the mod. Again, I do not owe you free work. If I did not get paid to do it full time, I simply would not be able to invest so many hours into this and development would be a fraction of what it is now, I can't do a full time job for free and my income has nothing to do with you. If you are not A1-gaming, then there is nothing stopping you from playing. I also need to make it clear, my work is not tied to BeamMP. Owning my mod does not guarantee your use of it on BeamMP. If BeamMP quit supporting their work and their servers went down, it would not affect your ability to play this mod as it was intended.

No, there is a group of (younger) players who think I owe them a free product because it was once free before I began putting in so much time into it. That group of players have also been caught sharing my work so I requested their beamMP server be taken down. Everyone who pays for the patreon has access to my updates automatically and I update twice a month. BeamMP is just a consequence of people sharing my work. This "promise" that they keep bringing up is that originally the patreon was made as an early-access release. When quarantine hit, I lost my job and put my time into RDP, grew in popularity, and has led to this being my full time job. I never promised anything, it was just the original roadmap for my work before it became fulltime.

So you have a problem with Beammp as a whole? I never said I expect anything for free. Whatever your beaf is with A1 don't hold that over every beammp players head.

No sir. As I said there is someone who has a server, and they came from that group. I do not remember who exactly it is. My only issue with BeamMP is that it syncs mod folders with users, so it gives out my work. I knew this for months and allowed the previous server to continue functioning at the time. I now ask that the servers check for patronage each month.

That's a hard question to answer. For what it's worth, I am nowhere near a top level driver, but most people would tell you it's a lifestyle. It's something you do, think about, and invest in year around. High quality builds are often as expensive as $30,000 or more, and take months to finish, with meticulous thought, knowledge and engineering. Drivers travel across states and even the country to compete in big shows.
The derby itself is hard to explain, I love everything about it, the smell and noises, the feeling of rolling up to a show with a car on the trailer, the feeling of raw V8's with open headers. I know some drivers get so nervous they throw up before shows, but once you pull on the track and make the first hit they go away and your perception of time disappears and nothing besides the officials exist beyond the track until you've either won or have an "oh shit" moment that brings you back to reality. Derbying is pretty much the last gladiator sport. You push what you built until it doesn't have anything left to give.
Maybe a different driver reading this has some different input.
