I'm debating upgrading my computer a bit. I have a few parts stockpiled- a AIO liquid cooler and a Vega FE, sans cooler- and was thinking of building something with a 9900k/9920X or a R7/R9. I'm open to advice. Should I wait until the prices of the Ryzen 5000 series chips normalize, or should I just go with a Zen 2 chip or a 9900k? Anything would be a substantial upgrade from an FX6300.
Always wait till price normalization, especially as if we're being honest, your current computer is probably already better than mine, meaning it runs Beam and most other games acceptably. I support the AMD route though, as they are better value on the high end.
The hell did you download? Maybe invest in a anti-virus software. On the topic of upgrading computers, my laptop's lid is already messed up after only 2 years and it's come to the point where I can't even close it. The volume down button only works 60% of the time, it has middle-of-the-road RAM and Disk Space (8GB ram, only 7.80 is usable, and 223GB of Disk Space, and as of right now 107 is taken up), and ever since the 0.21 update I've been getting lag spikes that take my average of 30-40 fps and slice it in half, it only lasts like 3 seconds but the spikes seem to happen every 10 seconds, especially after spawning a new car. If I don't end up repairing it, I'm definitely saving for an actual desktop. Yeah, I lose the convenience of portability and free space in my room, but those are small prices to pay considering how fed up I am with this laptop. Besides, I always liked building stuff, so I might actually enjoy building my first PC.
I don't think he needs to invest, Windows Defender catches most of it, as long as it's on... And worst comes to worst, a clean reinstall will fix it, but you have to do an online reinstall, as if it's a good virus, it will know to have infested your offline backup.
*Somewhere on Yelp* Virus did not manifest in my offline backup. Very disappointed, will be speaking to the manager. 1/5 stars, do not recommend.
Ok. In an august morning, i was going to the seaside with some of my friends. We were four and we got in the car, a 2000's Benz Kompressor wagon (with even a broken muffler XD). I was in the backseat and we begun the trip. We took the highway and the provincial road. The roads were busy that day and, obviously, as typical hurry Mercedes drivers, we ran fast trough the traffic, did dangerous overtakes, even when the cars were coming from the other side, even on hard curves, but the worst part was that we were all with no seatbelts, so in a certain point we were at 180 km/h without seatbelts. Then we stopped at the gas station, bought some food. Then we put on our seatbelts and when we restarted, there was an accident in an intersection. And i was totally indifferent all the time.
TIL that there's a whole community dedicated to hypermiling and they do some pretty...interesting...stuff for better fuel economy: I guess Geo Metros get good mileage already because they seem to be common. I must say it looks pretty goddamn stupid but it looks like it could be a fun hobby car project, even if it's also probably a very good way to rack up tickets.

today i learnt that there is good chance i'll end up in the obituary's, I took my Corolla too a tire place to get some new ones, the ones that i had driven on for 2000km were nearly bald and also turned out to be showing the cord . But anyways they told me the whole right strut tower wasn't connected to anything except the wishbone, all that drumming, vibrating and wandering that happened at high speed i complained about a little while ago wasn't the originally thought wheel balance and alignment issues (although it does have issues with alignment) but the whole strut moving about. Oh dear. And the other day when i drove over a real nasty, corrugated, pot holed road far to fast, i saw rust flakes fall down all in front of me, so i pulled over and felt along between the headliner and windshield not only was it moist and horrible but also fully, completely rusted out. Another place i found nasty rot was in the rear left of the subframe near if not on the mounting point. I reckon it'll only last one more winter before i'll have to wear a raincoat inside or the whole thing will snap in half. And i dont piddle about on suburban streets either, im deep in the country where the only roads here are all highways with tall trees or ditchs on either side, so having something fail catastrophically is a very big ill on my health
Maybe its time to start looking for a rust free shell to swap parts onto if you have the cash and space? Basically the only thing I refuse to deal with on cars is rust. Whatever you decide to do, be careful and stay safe.
