Known issue, caused by a major game update awhile back, select the tires manually for the time being. Also currently working on a general config fix for the repo version, mainly since I need to get warmed up with all the changes since the last time I uploaded to the mods page (ALmost 2 years ago ... Wow time flies.)
I guess it's all 3; Time management, experience, and some tricks up my sleeve Here's one of the primary reasons I'm not reusing much from the original Vendetta; Size wise, the new Vendetta's noticeably larger and closer to the real dimensions of a C3 than the old one, allowing for much needed extra suspension travel without clipping the bodywork, along with some larger wheel and tire combinations. However, that comes at a cost; I have to redo all the JBeam structures. Which, tbh isn't really that bad, I just spent half the morning seeing how far I could take the original repo Vendetta, and constantly kept running into major issues... Missing nodes and beams in the steering linkages, limiter beams prematurely restricting steering range of motion, broken bumpstops, swaybars that aren't actually functional, improperly connected parts, too many beams in all the wrong places, broken rear offroad suspension, broken coilovers, etc... The list goes on and on. 90% of those issues aren't even from game updates, those were original design errors I made. Even if I weren't making a whole new model, I would still have to redo the entire JBeam on the old one... It's just that bad. How this ended up featured back in 2018 is beyond me honestly Because I'm not kidding when I say everything was being held together by a hope and a prayer
I'm really eager to see this being reworked as thoroughly as you're currently doing I'm a big fan of the C3 Vette IRL, and even though I really wanted to like it, the old Vendetta had some issues which caused me to remove it from my fairly small (especially compared to some here ) mod list. Only other thing I'd like is to avoid having meme-y stuff in the info files like the old one had I think you know what I mean. It makes the filters generally less useful, and IMHO filters are very useful when you have a decent mod collection.
It always bothered me how the Vendetta was unrealistically small, glad to see it's being fixed! Lol why do I comment so much on this thread, I guess I'm just very hyped for one of the first mods I downloaded to be updated, it used to be one of my favorite mods before some stuff broke in it
Did some more interior work; Still WIP, as always... Seats and doorpanels are inspired by the 1984 C4 Corvette and are for the 1978-1985 Vendetta, the dashboard is my take on the later C3 dashboards and is for the 1973-1977 Regulation Nation Vendetta models.
that's really cool. I guess you're a lot more experienced now. But damn making another model from ground up is a lotta work
Yeah, it's a ton of work, but it also helps that its been over 3 years since I modeled the original Vendetta... So now it just feels like an entirely new project, if you get what I mean Last bit for tonight, modeled the glass;
I bet it feels nice to start from scratch on the model, got that new feeling! Definetly the right way to go. that looks awesome
Its getting a ground up rebuild which will enable more content to be made for it than the old one. So yes and no
Thats awesome! this car was one of my first mods i downloaded so its pretty nice to see it make a comeback!
Started modeling another one of the door panels (Still WIP.) There's gonna be several interior parts variants, hopefully one for each facelift, but we'll see.
Is the color just a placeholder or will the interior actually be reddish? Cause it looks kinda cool like that
i really enjoy that swooped rear window. Its more flat and looks amazing. i also like the interior color, but i assume thats not the texture
