Definitely seems to be a combination of 1986 to 1991 GM H Body cars. Maybe a bit of C and K platforms allowing for a high end V8 model (with some body modifications). Anyone got a picture of the side profile? Make the D Pillar straight and add a landau top plus more chrome parts and bam you have yourself a FWD luxury coupe allowing for a new Luxury marque (like Cadillac). This car has a lot of potential, I hope it isn't wasted. Here's a 1988 Cadillac Coupe Deville as a real life example. The 98 coupe seems to have a similar body shape as the Wendover but with a more 90 degree C pillar and landau top.
My god its stunning imo. It's like a all new car. They thew the 2012 render in the bin started over! By the looks of it. While the old one looked okay. The front was to narrow, I always wondered How will the Cooling system work?. The other thing it did not really look like a low end luxury car. Now it looks lovely, The kind of car you saw in the USA till 2009. As a first car or old persons car. The old taillights REALLY screamed Poor mans car. This now looks like a lincon ( love it ). I think this is the biggest change seen in a promised car indeed. About time we got a FWD coupe
i feel like the wendover needs a v8 drag configuration, also bolide revamp when? --- Post updated --- P.S bet next car is ibishu --- Post updated --- pessima revamp with new gtz config and parts
Agree, I will admit I wasn't one of those super excited about it originally. However seeing this new "render" is great. Genuinely like the look of it.
I am hoping that since the update will probably include some form of remaster/update for the LeGran, we get front inner fenders for it. It's weird that they're just all open and exposed like this, with a huge gap behind the tire. Some GM cars of the time even had an inner fender/mudflap behind the tire, blocking the exterior colour from showing. (see how the exterior colour and cavernous gap is visible in this picture)
Concerning the idea of a drag car... FWD drag car racing is a big thing, but those guys mostly stick to compacts and imports... Stuff like Civics, Cobalts, etc... Many are very heavily modified with caged/widebody front ends and so on. People love to make weird project cars, but I've never seen anything comparable to a drag racing Wendover. The closest I have seen on the internet is a big block RWD conversion Dodge Aries (K-Car). Of course throw on a supercharger and drag slicks and the player can make one themselves, and with how many strange drift cars we have I wouldn't rule out getting some official abomination, but it really would not make sense. This really goes for any racing configs unless we get a RWD conversion or a caged frame superbuild.
Considering the fact that we have a track version of the hopper, I think anything goes when it comes to configurations.
Considering how half-done the LeGran is right now, even after a body reshape, I can't imagine they'd go all the way to giving it a 4x4 wagon version without giving it a remaster of some sort. As far as I know, the GM 3.8L V6 is enough of "a thing" in the aftermarket to justify an official drag LeGran, but the Wendover, being larger and heavier, wouldn't make as much sense.
Maybe 4.0 I6? Taken from Moonhawk? Or I4 Swapped engine from 80`s Pessima? I think its a must to have a Derby version for Legran. It would be perfect! -Front-wheel drive? check -Enough space for a rollcage? check -Rusty skin? Legran is almost 40 years old! check
