I was wondering if there was any way that I could bind the scroll wheel to the throttle in-game. I'm sure it isn't possible but its worth a shot Thanks!
I don't think so but I haven't tried so lemme find out --- Post updated --- nope, the scroll wheel isn't recognized as input
You could bind throttle to mouse Y axis and steering to your mouse X axis. It's not ideal but at least your throttle control is better than with arrow keys
If you have an phone, you can download a third part remote control app that lets you configure controllers and stuff. I use it everytime I play beam.. App is called Monect. You have to download on the pc as the server and has to be on the same wifi or internet connection.. and then connect. I custom configured an xbox style controller, I use one of the triggers as a slider for throttle and brake, the other as an analog slider handbrake coz y not. One analog stick up/down as analog clutch Same stick left/right disabled. I used the g sensor as the left/right analog steering (just hope your g sensor exists or is configured properly) FFB is basically vibrations and I have it disabled. The rest of the controls are usual as the xbox controller. You can customise if you wish.
or do what i did and get a first/second gen console steering wheel with pedals and then get a cheap chinese adapter
one of the fastest guys on the FnTuners MP race mode is using mouse throttle and steering, so that is definitely a viable option haha
Can't coz covid 19 has scared the crap it of my family coz quite a few peole have had it and my parents and I had a severe cold a few days ago (not covid thankfully.. just flu). 20$ is quite a bit in other countries.... Soooo idk..
I do not understand how some people don't understand when some of us say we're tight on money. Just because we have money in a savings, doesn't mean that we want to spend it. Its called financial control, learn it please. Some of us have bills to pay.
If you have a spare mouse, could you rig one mouse up for acceleration by attaching it to a cardboard HOTAS and using another for steering?
thrift stores around me have flight sticks. i picked up a fairly new logitech and set the controls to the game and it was a strange experience. the stick was a 3D extreme flight pro that i found in michigan (not where im from but still) for $8
