i love playing the game, and i love my vr. if i remember right, at one point vr worked seamlessly with beam.ng, now i have to use vortex and its not very good, cant move camera with head... anyone know if there is integrated vr support, or a better way to make vr work?

in said video, he doesn't mention how he got it it work, or what program he used, i could get similar results with vortex and binding the x and y of the hmd to camera x and y, but it dont sale linearly i seems and would be a pain to tune...

oh, i thought that was a video i remember watching.
there was some video about it, talking about the system he used and stuff, but the software was really expensive and not worth it. (it was like $90-$100)

Software is called "VorpX" I believe? It's $40.

Edit: Ah that might've been what you meant when you wrote "vortex", though I'm not sure.

Oh it’s a rift only thing? Weird.

Last possible idea: BeamNG has head/eye-tracking support, I think. Is there such thing as a driver for windows that would semi-convert that to vr? Where turning your head would give the same effect as looking to the side with eye tracking?

I don’t really understand eye tracking and its uses so this could just be me being stupid.

There is no official VR support, no. The closest officially supported thing to VR that I can think of is TrackIR.

this may get us a step closer but i still dont know how to activate track ir, from what i have read on the forms it was started and never completed....
from what i see here there is ''support'' for track ir, or at least some code to make vorpx think there is... if i could get a dev to confirm of deny this that would be great.....
