Nadeox did indeed do the same post for the Bluebuck after several in game teasers of that car. So the Wendover is probably in QA now... Might see a proper in game teaser before the end of the month then... As mentioned above, spring updates are usually second half of April/first half of May. No reason to think the schedule will change for this update.
It arrives. Possible that the LeGran rework/expansion will come with it; if not then, then in 0.25. Then the Bolide is the next one through the rework grinder. Not sure when the H-series will get reworked in terms of things it doesn't share with the D-series/Roamer.
I derped and thought we were on 0.23 instead of 0.21.3. So if we don't get the LeGran rework this spring, it would probably be 0.23 which would be this summer.
That's what I thought, was just making sure because it seemed so outlandish. But then again we got D-Series remaster updates for a year straight so who knows how far along the remasters are.
It would seem that the Wendover is further along than we thought if Nadeox is yeeting the placeholder thumbnails
I'm hopeful for a dev blog post. I'm also hopeful for an alternative body style with a 90 degree C Pillar and landau top, similar to the GM C body cars of the time (think Cadillac Coupe Devile, Oldsmobile 98).
They're not gonna take thumbnails unless the car is complete at least cosmetically. That would also imply that they're in the process of making configs, which i can only assume would be towards the latter end of development.
I hope this doesn't mean they're just copying and pasting the LeGran interior and other parts over without fixing them? Some are seriously low quality. Don't rush, get it right and up to the same standard as the new D-Series and Vivace.
With all the effort the devs put in to differentiating the wendover from the legran (turning it into a coupe, restyling the car, hinting at possibly a digital dash, new suspension design in the rear), and the market position the car occupies (i think higher up than the legran), i think it's safe to say they'll bring out a new dash design. (though engines will probably be somewhat shared because gm) Also i can't remember a time when the devs have shared components on vehicles aside from those that make sense, like engines between Gavril models and various smaller suspension components that were modified.
For what it's worth, when Nadeox posted the removal of the Bluebuck's temporary thumbnail on July 19, 2019, and the Bluebuck was released on August 16, 2019. That's 28 days, or about a month. An early-to-mid-March release date for an update with the Wendover is more or less on pace with the dev team's habit of aiming for a major update every 3 months or so. Of course, past rates of development have little to no bearing on the present rate of development, so keep that in mind.
yummy carby is confirmed. I have to say that seeing this will share engine drive trains. I think legran will be updated. Maybe not a remaster but maybe some needed tlc. AM so hyped for this
Don't forget that the Wendover is a Fullsize car while the Le Gran is a midsize car. It's like saying that a Chevrolet Chevelle is the same as a Chevrolet Impala, They are both BOF American cars from the 60's with V8 Engines but they fill two different niches.
