not atm. i still dont yet have the game. and the person who was going to import it was having problems and gave up. so no not currently. the models r all made tho
This looks awesome! I can't wait to see how it comes out. It's gonna be exciting to finally become vert wheeler lmao
Finally purchased Beamng.drive so I'm getting back to work on the mod pack. First car I'll be releasing will be the Midas Monkey. After that will either be silhouette or Roger dodger
I am a designer and modeler/sculptor. My partner and I have modeled at least 200 Hot Wheels cars for Mattel between us as vendors. I want to get them from the non-game model state they are in to a point where I can get them into this game. Maybe we can help each other out?
That would be amazing, I'd love to try and help as best I can. Considering I'm still learning how to make it show up in the game --- Post updated --- no idea. i sourced two 3d model packs of hotwheels that i can use, just need to add engines and drivetrains etc. also found a plugin that allows me to export a blender model as a jbeam, so it just creates the jbeam automatically. all i rlly have to do is create the files for them and just add any code stuff needed. the Midas Monkey will be the first realeased since i already have all the files for it and just need to rename them and pack it and some other stuff. but i have no clue how im supposed to do it so that'll be a while
I don't think you can get away with just using the automatically created Jbeam with no big modifications... At least if you want to keep the pack realistic, but it's a Hot Wheels pack so it's unrealistic by definition lol. Still I'm sure you will have to change a lot to even get it to work in the game.
I didnt design them. I modeled them from art provided from Mattel. I have a few posted on my Instagram under my name. --- Post updated --- I have seen a couple videos on Youtube, but nothing that covers the whole process. Do you know where there are Complete instructions?
very neat. Like card art, or decals? Probably my favorite hot wheels i own the the ford gt40 STH from last year
--- Post updated --- I have seen a couple videos on Youtube, but nothing that covers the whole process. Do you know where there are Complete instructions?[/QUOTE] there's an official forum/thread that has some info on how to do it. --- Post updated --- rip. the quote function broke
I've had alot of stuff to do recently. However there's 10 weeks left of school so I may get back to doing it, I do have a life so this is not my priority. Altho I am completely unsure of how to make custom engines for these cars. Might just do a quick lazy mesh slap, just to get them out for photo and prop purposes, and then when I do actually have the time to, try and make them better. Midas Monkey rn has a j beam for the body, and I could probably get it done quite easy, granted I can find the correct files from the vendetta. [Edit]: I literally have a big collection of HotWheels 3d models rn that I have perm to use, however they r just 3d models of the actual toy cars, so no drivetrain, interior, etc. So those r the ones that would have some weird invisible parts.
