Hmm. I might be able to do something like that. No guaranties though. Yea. That just looks like a oil painting or somthing.
It's been a bit, and as far as we know, it's still being worked on, so I don't really think there's an issue with it. Unless I missed something?
it should be optional. my 8gb rookie gaming pc cant handle that with more than 2 cars. but with only 2 cars its ok because i have intel i7 and overclocked gt 1030. everytime i go to beamMP i will disable scratches. Maybe i should buy 16gb --- Post updated --- Damn i realized this is 2021 --- Post updated --- this thread is old
GUYS! For scratches the tiremarks code may be useful, but instead of the ground it should affect the car...
That would just make a flat texture which wouldn't look realistic, only 3D textures with normal maps will look proper and I don't think that is possible with the tiremark approach
first we need to make that only the metal can get scratches, because on plastic, it's should be more like a small smoke, and plastic layer reduced by a few centimeters, even without being a dev or a modder, i think it could be a nightmare to make. --- Post updated --- and maybe by doing a few layers of paint, some grays, and then, the color that the player choose --- Post updated --- and particles, fine! I'm out, i'll never gonna make that, anyways i suck at coding so, sorry guys
