Game doesn't download correctly (solved)

I paid for the full version today, I received the email, and downloaded it from Chrome. After downloading, I copied it to my desktop and extracted it. I ran the installer and didn't change the location. After finishing, I checked run game and pressed finish. Nothing happened. I also realized that there wasn't a shortcut. I repeated this again with task manager open and saw that if I tried to run the game, it would show up in the processes section for a second...and would vanish.

What operating system do you use (what version of Windows)?
Have you tried using a different program to download the file (i.e Firefox)?
Did you try extracting it elsewhere or maybe trying to redownload it and start fresh?
Make sure your Antivirus and firewall are disabled (just in case they are blocking BeamNG.drive).

That's all I can say at this point. That's really weird.

I am running windows 7 x64
I have already tried re downloading it
My security was not involved in it

I have no idea what is happening...

Plenty of people have reported their antivirus corrupted game data during the download, and did not inform them it damaged anything. Avast, avira, AVG, Norton, McAfee and several others have all been reported to cause problems in some instances.

That's really weird. Usually turning off ALL antivirus fixes it (because it will open the file in multiple programs and corrupt the file).

What machine are you using? (Specs of computer)
You are using the NEW installer from the download page?

Try completely deleting the game (going and finding the folder and removing it) and reinstalling with nothing else open.

Other than that, I have no idea why it would do that other than something is preventing it from running on your system.

Go to OS\Users\(Your name)\AppData\Local\BeamNG\BeamNG.drive\BeamNG.drivex86.exe (or whatever it is)

Or if you have pre race update...

OS\Users\(Your name)\AppData\Local\BeamNG\BeamNG.drive\alpha_prerace\BeamNG.drive.exe

Tell me if you need more help as I have played BeamNG for quite awhile and I have the same OS as you.

I moved the instal out of the users location and now it works fine.
