That was a performance truck, so yeah I'd say it's pretty reasonable that they were more worried about exhaust placement than having an auto tailgate (if that tech was even a thing in the late 90s and early 2000s)

I dont like decals and sidepipes on trucks either, but still, don't say stuff like this. This is how a forum fight starts.

What wheels were they? The only ones I remember are the plain steel ones from the really early stages of the game and the current ones (I have no idea what the current ones are called either)

Dunno where to really post this, but I was trying to sort out the suspension for the trophy truck and deleted the suspension to check the clearances sitting on the bump stops. The rears are okay, if clipping a bit, and the front has... issues. The clearance on the frame itself is fine, the issue is the fender supports are in kind of a dumb place. At the bump stops they interfere with steering and rub up on the tires, while simultaneously passing through the front fascia and headlights, causing the fascia to bend and the headlights getting ejected.

Also due to the weird geometry and node placement turning the wheel will result in the tires either clipping through the support or pushing up on the support and off the bump stops. The front end either needs to be extended, the fender supports adjusted, or the whole suspension setup brought back a few inches as there's more space rearwards.

When ever I try to use the 7.5L V8 on any of the normal frames, it crashes the game, why does it do that?

Pitman arm and crosslink / drag link are colliding with the IFS cross member, setup is a modified D35 pig.

side pipes exit before the rear wheel, and usually run along where the running boards are
