Update Speculation thread

Career Traffic? Walking? Story mode is almost done. A rocky start might be a prequel and i expect a NFS inspired gameplay with walking options

 

Anyone else find it a bit odd that it says "Walk Up" and "Walk Down" and not "Walk Forwards" and "Walk Backwards?"

Or is this player-camera-robot-BB8-thing secretly Spider-Man?

 

Not quite sure having traffic and waking constitutes the whole campaign mode being finished.

It really is interesting how many new ideas the introduction of walking leaves us with; The interaction with vehicles could potentially be evolved into a more MSC-like experience, with the addition of a maneuverable character inside the vehicle, allowing for interaction with things such as the ignition and doors to be more immersive than a key on a keyboard. The ability to pick up or pull objects is also possible, and, in a much more hypothetical concept, the physical instillation of car parts is theoretically achievable, though that especially is incredibly far fetched, as are the rest of those concepts.

I wonder if it will be possible for the player character to be ejected from or otherwise fall out of vehicles in severe crashes, or if you start driving with a door open or something.

 

Let's not give people false hope.

 

I doubt summer because we always get the "Spring update" in April/May and the "Summer update" in July/August. 0.22 should coming a few days or a week imo.

 

There is already a possibility to have light using relative camera, if it appeared as more of a spotlight in walk mode it's definitely doable, yet not really necessary.


A hammer would be fun, I'm wondering if the nodegrabber will be worked on to make it easier to lift objects, teardown got it spot on for example when it comes to lifting stuff. Would be cool to have to drag and load up the back of a van or trailer like that

 

I have BeamNG since 2017, but I never noticed that "light" function

If the update came out on the 31st then that would be the best birthday gift ever.

I love the idea of walking. I literally lost my mind when I saw that. Im very hopeful that we can open doors and stuff. I try to take photos in the game and being able to open the door without much effort would be amazing!

OT i think The teasers And the fact we know we got Walking mode for this update ( 80% imo )

We know we getting the Wendova ( REALLY cant wait for that )

i havent kept up to date with this update as much as i normally do. ive seen A LOT of hype on the wendover, can anyone point me in the right direction of some info on it? sounds like everyones really excited about it

 

Agree with that we should get this update in a week! Also I think we have a minimal chance for tomorrow (but really low chance)

Also there are a few places in maps which are unachieveable with cars - only with walking mode

In Lightrunnner mode you can hear a music. When you go into driver cam, you can hear the music, but now the music sounds like its coming from the radio. This gave me an idea: ability to have a radio. No real musics or big things - just some cool and chill Gabester musics

 

Or the abandoned hotel on JRI, the mountain-side city in Italy, the castle in Italy, the mines in Utah, a lot of places on WCUSA...
