Normally when a game update is near, mod authors release their mod after the update so they can fix all those new bugs and stuff. I know that because that's what happened when the 0.20 (vivace) update comes out. Also sometime it's rude asking something people don't really know constantly.
they are planning to publish it after the update so that they dont have to sort through all the changes before hand. e.g update now then the Beamng update will change somethings and they want to publish it so those changes don't mess up this update Speaching 100
Well judging by the amount of teased content we've gotten so far I'd say sometime next month, which probably means that WBIMP will see its update maybe a few weeks after the game, but that kinda depends on how far the team is with it and how much more stuff might get broken due to 0.22 (which hopefully isn't much or anything at all, I'm sure the past couple of months have been rough enough for them) But like MrJavelin said, only time will tell.
Please dont take offense to this people but i think i speak for many of our team if i ask you to please not talk about the wbimp like it a dev quality game update. We are just some people making mods and we sometimes feel pressured because of the high expectations some of you put on us. So please remind yourselves again that this is just a modpack. We are not developers. It takes a lot of time to make good content. We are just regular people that take time out of our regular lives to make free content for you We hope we can release it soon after the update drops but we wont rush and overwork ourselves to do so like we did too many times before Thanks for understanding -Nacho
Idk why people treat this mod as if it was part of the game, imo the GTG mods are much closer to feeling like a part of the game but they don't reach the dev quality like 99% of all mods don't, I think there is really no mod that could be treated as part of the game, there are high quality mods like the Gavril CB-40 and stuff but they are not lore friendly because they are replicas of real vehicles, and the technically dev-made mods like the Burnside Aerocoupe don't seem to me like they reach the strict dev quality standards (at least not yet before any updates to the mod, but the update might take a long time, like look at the Kashira for example) because there's not the entire team of professional experienced people working on them. (One could argue that D-troxx's newer wheels fit in the game but we already have so many vanilla wheels that his ones aren't really useful for anything other than looking cool lol)
