I think McAfee is causing my updater to give an error. It gives me the "this process is being used by another process" error. When I go into McAfee, though, it tells me that my trial subscription has expired and I am not able to turn off scanning. When I go into my task manager, I see that the scanner is running and I am not able to stop it. When I try to, it simply says "access is denied." I'm completely lost. Any help? Thanks in advance.

Exactly. Anyways, I've been trying to delete the files and it says I need administrator permission. I'm logged in to the only profile on my computer, which means it should be the administrator by default, right? WHY DOES THIS HAVE TO BE SO DIFFICULT????

Deleting the files, exactly not how to install software since whenever windows added the registry (so probably back in DOS days).

McAfee you want to uninstall from the add/remove software screen.
