The Avalon is nice and all but we wont be making a brand new front like that, also the Avalon doesn't really fit with the company that well but thank you for the suggestion!

ok I understand the concepts but the execution makes 0 sense

it’s not even that he can’t model, it makes sense everyone has to start somewhere and it’s not like I’m perfect either. Just logically speaking having a 2021 car on a 2009 chassis with any relation to a 2009 model at all makes no sense. The car would be made almost entirely from scratch realistically. Also it would never have an interior pulled from another manufacturer. A 2021 model would not be a facelift on a 2009 it would be a redesign.

Obviously everyone has to start somewhere but I really don’t get the logic here

maybe it would make sense to be a 2016 sunburst facelift? then again companies like nissan have cars like the 370z which came out in 2009, and is still sold today with some exterior, interior and performance changes ( a facelift).

If it was 2020 it would make more sense for a whole new gen 2

Also it should not be using parts from non Hirochi cars. And if it’s a 2020 model it should be 95% scratch made, which means new exterior, interior, etc. you can probably get away with using the same mechanical parts though

So, yes. A real car can be facelifted for 20 years and keep the same body, just changing details like bumpers, headlights, and interior

I don't agree that is has to be made from scratch as it says it is a facelift, and many cars go 10+ years without a full re-model, but I do agree that the use of parts like a vivace dashboard is a bit of an odd for the sunburst.

I'm aware they aren't making a 2021 version, that was not the point of my comment. The point was that they made it from 2009-2020 with only minor changes

I unanimously agree with @P_enta here.

For this to be a 2020 Sunburst, based on the fact that car that was originally produced from 2009-2014 makes no sense. For this to make sense, the body of the car would have to be completely reworked. Sure, it might pass off as a facelift, but this would mean Hirochi would be working on a almost 11 year old platform - making it a outdated platform by the time the facelift is released.

So you'd be better off making a entirely new platform or body for the car with a entirely reworked engine, drivetrain, interior, and so on. Take the 2009 Impreza vs. the 2020 Impreza for example.

LC200 land cruiser. 2008-2021, enough said

as long as the car in its form sells well and sales climb or retain at a healthy rate, a company has no reason to change the chassis or anything at all really, hell, the 70 series land cruiser is still in production since 1985, the Y61 has been in production since 1998. Just saying
