This is a little side project im working on the Tailleo Hyun is based off a 2020 Kia Soul the model looks ok enough to post (I dont got much done yet!) I was hoping to use a modified Cherrier Vivace jbeam but idk if thats possible?
thank you! --- Post updated --- Thank you! --- Post updated --- Thank you and thats a great thing to hear! --- Post updated --- lol --- Post updated --- So im running into an issue im currently starting the front fender but it wont mirror to the other side of the car does someone know how to do that?
Mirror modifier for the time being. Don't waste time making the model symmetrical till it's finished, when you get that far, edit mode, select all, shift+d, control+m, x, enter, flip normals, make the x transform a negative number, then select all and remove doubles
No, it doesn't. The model uses way too many polygons for its own good as of right now, which will be even more painful later on, when OP will decide to redo the meshes as they were too high poly. I would start off with only a small amount of vertices on the model & then keep on adding more wherever needed to make the curves look good enough
yeah I was looking at it a bit ago and even in smooth mode it’s really…choppy imma restart this is about to be my third attempt lol --- Post updated --- So I should only do fine details after I get the general shape down??
are you modeling each panel individually? don't. treat the whole car like its one panel, don't even cut the fenders and doors out yet
oooo i was doing that the whole time, thank you i was following a video but they were doing a different car than I was doing so I think imma follow the video with his car then come back to this just so I can get used to it sim more --- Post updated --- Lol
does this look like too many vertices for right now? the shape is awkward rn cuz ive just been moving the vertices so that everything it at the right sides
@alentaylor22 can you maybe make the older version as a config? because my dad has it, and i’ve seen it plenty of times. Also, i’d love to help you with ideas. Sadly, i can’t mod (yet!)
