Hi everyone, We've released the new version of our Documentation system today: https://documentation.beamng.com It's still WIP and we will continue adding content in the near future. Feel free to share any ideas or feedback you have in this thread.
Awesome! Finally something to replace the wiki also kind of off-topic but am I seeing a new website design?
Oh yeah Baby! The Wendover model years is 1988-1991 btw. The devs leaked a few props too including a matress.
https://beamng.com/game/ I don't want to ruin the hype here but all this stuff is extremely refreshing, that website looks much cooler and does a good job at making the soft-body physics system understandable for everyone. The interactive stuff makes it so much better. The artwork is great and honestly I can't find a better word than refreshing again. Hopefully this will draw more people to the forums/website whenever it gets properly released
I really like the new documentation system. It’s always helpful when a game has an official, organized wiki
Is there a backup page of the previous Lua API? I was planning on making something but the only class I see is Engine, can't find any of the others. Anyways, absolutely love the new website design
I'm really sorry, but this new docs isnt very good. Now, let me reiterate, I actually do really like the visual redesign! But the new docs is literally useless, I can't find any documentation on the userdata/classes at all? That was literally the entire purpose for said docs, to me it really just looks like you guys deleted everything. I'm sorry for the harsh words, but genuinely I don't understand what the reasoning behind removing all of the old content was??? Is there a backup of it anywhere? I want to work on a project but I can't because you guys removed all the documentation on the C++ side of things On a much lighter node, once all of the old content is back instead of being thrown into the void, the new docs looks really good!
If you are, a thread for suggestions would be nice. I have at least 3 things that could use fixing on this website.
