Vehicle pooling when enabled causes constant stuttering - performance monitor shows physics spikes ~55ms. The faster you drive - the more noticable are the spikes. I believe they are caused by loading/unloading visible cars...? Ryzen 5900x CPU here. Somehow I think BeamNG does not like modern AMD CPUs in general. I remember that I had somewhat smoother experience, when I had 6700k @4.5 Ghz although current CPU has higher IPC, higher clocks and way more CPU cores/threads.
Love this update. Lotta content. Experienced no bugs yet. But TBH, that new user files folder situation makes things a bit annoying. Also, as we are getting Bruckell overhaul, can you please do a vinyl/landau roof for Moonhawk? Would you kindly?
More of a "walking on water" mode, but yea Yes, that is expected, it's WIP. I don't know why there is no warning telling you about that...
Odd window shading Walking Mode: Since shift is sprint and c is crouch, attempting to sprint and then crouch opens free cam. (shift+c is freecam). This can be quite annoying. Funnily enough, opening freecam while running will cause the camera to stay still and the controls to disappear, whilst your invisible character continues running. pressing shift+c again teleports the camera to the characters new position, which is surprisingly entertaining. I'd also appreciate if there was a way to disable certain ui elements specifically in the character camera. The character seems to have incredibly strong legs, and jumping while running in place against a car causes surprising damage to the vehicle while also sending the player flying backwards a few feet. (result seen below after about three attempts) Meanwhile, i personally find sprinting to be rather slow, though that may just be in comparison to how high we jump. I also notice there are no footstep sounds- is that planned in the near future?
I'm not quite sure how crouching while sprinting looks like... But yea, we need a second keyboard these days, keys are running out... That's due to how the whole thing works, give yourself a mesh in the part editor to see its shape and function Not sure yet about that, it has no feet, so things become weird if you try to add sounds made by feet....
Hey, first of all love the new update and the website looks amazing!!! The issue I've experienced so far is Beamng not using the dedicated GPU (according to Beamng itself). I tried adding the app again through the NVIDIA control panel and set everytihing I could find to dedicate GPU, however no luck so far. Any suggestions?
very nice updated . 2 things 1) i have no texture on the legran wagon with all my mods {it might just be a mod conflicting it might be WBIMP game expansion } 2} all my saved vehicles are not appearing game
Sprinting whilst crouching is used a lot in Parkour... less so in real life, haha! As for the damage, i suppose that makes sense, just thought it was odd myself. I'd be surprised if footsteps came off as odd for an invisible player, at the moment the eerie silence when walking is a bit off putting, at least to me. Most importantly, the most tragic flaw in the game: No matter how hard i try, the collision gods forbid me from entering bus stops. Woe is me.
I absolutely love the facelift versions of the Wendover. I definitely see some hints of Fiero in there, but I could just be making that up As for bugs: There's some clipping in the H-series' engine bay The Wendover's glove box is missing a handle From certain angles, the D-Series' tailgate handle appears red (Occurs outside of walking mode too) The LeGran's front doors are missing window cranks (rear seat for comparison) This reservoir cap in the LeGran's engine bay clips with the hood This reservoir cap in the Wendover's engine bay clips with the hood
I think i don't really like this update. The Wendover is nice, but the hill climb version overheats quite fast, which is odd. I expected the chase scenarios to be fixed, but the AI still drive into barriers, trees, kurbs etc. I really don't like the new userfolder change, will i have to move everything from the folder every time there's a new update? Walking mode feels weird. It's not precise , i don't know how to explain it. Also, I can't crouch in walking mode using ctrl cause it activates the node grabber. The "player" could lose some weight
Bushes are considered fully solid objects by the player Which is odd... especially when I find myself standing on top of a twig four or five feet in the air.
my bitdefender said this: The file C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\downloading\284160\BeamNG.drive.exe is infected with Gen:Variant.Ulise.123970 and was moved to quarantine. It is recommended that you run a System Scan to make sure your system is clean. and didn't let me restore the files or disable bitdefender
