Cannot open Beamng anymore.

Since today I can no longer open Beamng. It says that files are missing and / or there is a virus in it. When i see the error my windows security says that there is a virus found in my PC. When i click the error away there are no viruses anymore. I already deleted and reinstalled the game but thats not working. Please help me.

Same, I cannot open BeamNG anymore, it gives me this message and I can't really do anything, I need to know if I did anything wrong, ask me and I will explain everything that i did to try to fix it so far

 

Did you download anything from Russian "Mod" websites? If you did, well I can't do anything than say that you are a blithering idiot, because those websites are the key for getting viruses.

 

No i didn't download mods from Russian websites. I only downloaded mods from The Beamng forum and Beamng itself. But now it doesn't work anymore. The virus only appears when i get the error. When i click it away it isn't on my PC anymore.

Hmm, that's strange. Nothing pops up for me, but a lot of others are reporting this issue. You could try and look at some other threads about this virus situation to see if there is anything there to help you, or you could try to get in contact with one of the moderators for support.

 

This also happend to me. I launched the game no problem last night, but this morning Steam wouldn't let me. As I tried to launch the game windows defender detected 'Trojan:Win32/Zpevdo.B' in the Beamng.drive.exe file. I'm pretty sure it's just a false positive.

 

although I got an update from Beamng before this error.

 

I’ll get on my pc to see if it’s happening. As of 12 hours ago, on 0.22, it’s fine for me.

Same is happening to me. It scared the out of me. I doubt this is going to get fixed any time soon, either since it probably has to do with the pointless Documents folder migration they just implemented. Seriously guys, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Reinstall and allow it in Windows Defender. It calls it Win32.Zpevdo or something like that, which is a heuristic detection rather than an actual piece of malware - it's safe.
