The newer Saabs did look really nice...sucks that they had to go bust. :(

They're still alive and producing the 9-3. In fact they just released a new model of it recently, I think.

They use the same parts they used to build the 9-3 Sedan before they got put down. Some parts have been changed, like the seats, which are better than the old seats. And the logos are black with a "Saab" text now.
Though they are made in very small quantities for the moment.

This is how every car should look, nice and simple lines with little or no useless features.

Or if you're Lamborghini, make it look like a sci-fi starfighter. Badass.

I like the designs myself, but all of those cars have useless lines that start off and go nowhere, like the sharp fold lines around the doorhandles of each BMW.

Modern cars without any extra lines will most likely look bad.
It's fine to have some folds and other lines, the problem is when you go overboard with them.
Plus I can't really see any useless lines other than folds in the doors and the bonnet

Might as well. I posted the Carbonizzare from GTA V so yeah.

Let's see... what other cars do I like
    custom-nissan-350z-nismo-wheels-14.JPG

And this style of mustang. Not quite sure what year the specific one I like is, but this one is pretty close.

1999-2003. Possibly the best looking Mustang until 2015. (Now I'm gonna get flamed for liking the 2015 mustang, for sure)

I think the new beetle is absolutely retarded as the beetle is supposed to be RR, and this is a FF car. Still, the Turbo version looks nice, reminds me of the 80's 911s.

OK that last one is harder to find a decent pic of, but I spend a lot of time around them, and they have perfect lines. They nailed the boxy sedan in '78 with sharp lines but just that slight curvature to give some strength to it, and the wheel arches... and quad headlights, my fave. They were ruined in North America with massive bumpers. The sheet metal is perfect, it just needs the right bumpers and wheels to come alive. BMW came out with the E30 in 82, which looks very similar but just a bit melted. I like my lines sharp though.

Considering the beetle and 911's common heritage, not surprising that the 911's essentially look like a pancaked beetle. Still, they should have totally reintroduced the RR layout on the beetle just for old times sake.

Now. Considering others have posted video game cars without being told off about it, I shall now share one of my favourite vehicles of all time.

Actually just in order to protect my ass, thats the WETA Studios replica rather than an in-game screenshot, so no one can complain its not real :p Its functional. 4.2 litre diesel with aftermarket turbo kit and the stock auto tranny (jammed in low range permanent 4wd) ripped from a Nissan Patrol. The steering actually has 3 modes, 4 wheel steer as seen in game, crab steer as in the image above and conventional front steer (which is apparently alot easier to drive around in).
    halo-warthog-6.jpg halo-warthog-oxcgn-6.jpg

I like this pic, passenger is clearly disappointed at not being allowed to drive:
    halo-warthog-oxcgn-7.jpg
Theres a pretty cool interview about it here: http://oxcgn.com/2009/09/04/halos-real-life-warthog-weta-build-they-smash-oxcgn-exclusive/

A group of fans in the UK have also built their own replica warthog off of an old land rover defender chassis. Not quite as accurate as the WETA version as it lacks the rear steer (and is correct hand drive) but its a wicked piece of work: http://operationchastity.com/launch/warthog

And while its not fast, (0-60 in just under 10 seconds), its great fun, grips well, little roll and steering has loads of feel. Love it.
