Colorful barrels first appeared in Small island IIRC and thats about one year ago. So not really recently Although the barrel prop has much worse model than background barrels
Well, all of the original official vehicles have been completed. for all new vehicles, we have no idea about what they will be or look like. This is exciting
I hope it will be something between 2000-2010. There is a gap between 2003 and 2008 that only recent D-series and Roamer facelifts occupied.
ok, here's a bit of far-fetched speculation: the H series still hasn't had its facelifts and content added yet. but once it does, a 70's van is probably less likely than a facelift, as an earlier model would require completely different external body panels, where a facelift would only require a new front end, as shown by the ford econoline below, the middle picture is the closest analogue to the H15 in-game currently. however, both the Chevrolet express and Ford Econoline had minor updates after their 2000s facelifts, gaining new engines around 2008 to as late as 2020. for example, the Econoline's largest Petrol engine changed from the 460 Lima V8 in the 90s, to the 6.8 Triton V10 in 1999, then to the 7.3 Godzilla V8 in 2020. If the Van is getting some sort of '10s minor facelifts along with the '00s facelift, then a DOHC Variant of the existing V8s (as well as perhaps a V6 and V10) would flesh that lineup out quite well. Then here's the big stretch: in one of the Utah car dealerships, there's a burnside banner with a similar typeface to the '90s-'00s gavril logos, suggesting there's going to be some sort of reasonably modern burnside. unless this is hinting to a rebadged variant of the grand marshal or roamer, they're likely going to steer clear of any more '80s and '90s content, given the overall negative reaction to the announcement of the wendover and the oversaturation of cars from that period. Otherwise, thinking back to yellowrusty's survey thread, one car demographic that was quite popular was the modern american muscle car or police car. something akin to a cadillac CTS or Chrysler 300 would fill such a niche, having monococque construction and all independent suspension, but still being older and ham-fisted enough to stay distinct from the ETK 800. and such a vehicle would also use more modern DOHC Variants of the gavril V8.
Bold to assume there will be more? We have a pretty broad selection of vehicles as it is so I imagine they would prefer to focus on improving those. There are a few holes in the lineup but I haven't seen any sign of interest in filling those. Concept vehicle list confirmed malarkey Edit: evidence devs are considering a new Burnside?
I noticed that too, but didnt wanna say anything cause...well yea, it is far fetched the idea would be amazing though, to see the evolution of burnside and how far they've fallen from grace
Looks like it could be an SUV? It would also be interesting to see the original RoR Burnside reimagined for BeamNG, maybe there could be a cheaper Gavril version as well
They might not have really fallen, just faded, much like Lincoln isn't huge, but still makes good cars.
It would be cool to see a new list of planned vehicles and have the voting of which comes first and which last
Like an ultimate comeback and nostalgia shot because that list was made in 2012-2013, maybe You can still find it here.
even though the Wendover was just released I am sort of disappointed that there isn't a way to get the generic tail lights originally teased way back in 2012.... I'm also wondering if we will ever see this model year because it has a more tapered off nose (like a Lagonda) than the current Wendover's we have seen... whilst this isn't much speculation I am also excited about a new possibility of a burnside even if It is heavily based on the d series/ roamer platform as it is a Gavril sub-brand and is teased in the offroad dealership. Also the yellow car under the cover at the Italian high-end dealership and other dealerships, whilst looks like a k series and has k series style rims, if you look closely at the front bumper it is clearly, not a k series. (no picture for this)...are we getting a modern european coupe to rival the k series???
Burnside apparently folded in 1980, but they may have been resurrected. https://www.beamng.com/threads/which-vehicle-would-you-like-to-see-in-game-first.360/ The first generation Pessima and 200BX also had different tallights, the ETK I-series had thinner headlights.
I dunno, I always had a silly theory about why most cars are from '80s-'90s: maybe because some cars for Devs could be based on theirs first irl ones, or cars that are from their childhoods when they saw a lot of them as a kids/teenagers?
In 1990, 1991 and 1993 there was ten 10 cars made at the same time. That´s quite a lot considering we only have 28 cars total. Well. The reason why we have so many 80s and 90 cars is that on beginning of the game development, devs planned to create just derby game. Of course that has been changed but the gap remain, for now. Also I don't think 80's and 90's are "oversaturated" with the cars. There are just deficiency in cars from 2000-2020 especially for fact the game is set in 2020.
