It's not that odd. Like I said before, major cars for derby/banger race should be from 80s and 90s (these are just cheap). Older than that would be too expensive if that car is in "cool classic" category. More modern would be too expensive to turn them into a scrap after the race. Basically every modern car in game were for testing new features like ESC, aero, unibody etc.
Wasn't the facelifted Roamer produced from 2000-2006? It isn't a proper 2000s car, as it is simply a facelift, but it was a car produced to 2006 before turning into a new generation.
I think, would to be perfect to fit one small european car like Ford Fiesta 2003-2008 Opel Corsa C 2000-2006 VW Polo 2002-2008 And one european Truck (Actross,fh12,daf xf,...) And Something British... We have enought American Cars and Maps
Not the correct place to post this. Vehicle Suggestions might be good. This is the update speculation thread.
honestly, i feel like this thread isnt gonna be doing much speculating for a while seeing as...well, where are the devs gonna go now? we always had something that we knew was coming, but now i guess we just wait until the devs announce something.
I imagine by now they’re starting to finish up career mode. My guess is it will release in about a year.
I’d be very surprised if every developer was currently working on career mode (let alone “finishing up”). For people like vehicle artists and level designers, I wouldn’t be surprised if they had a few projects up their respective sleeves behind the scenes as well, as I’m not sure they would be able to fully use their abilities within career mode’s development cycle.
IIRC, it was gabester that said BeamNG was a separate universe from Rigs of Rods despite containing some of the same brands. (He was a Rigs modder before he was a Beam dev, and some people were wondering if his RoR mods would ever be remade into official BeamNG content.) Wiki is currently deprecated and has long been infamous for both outdated information and people trying to post fanon/headcanon/RP type stuff. Without checking the edit history on that page, I'm going to go out on a limb and say whoever put that there was probably going off RoR-era lore. (One of Gabe's mods was a Burnside if I remember correctly, so that could have something to do with it.)
Yeah, the RoR Burnside was a fullsize 70s-80s convertible, coupe, sedan and wagon. We still have the "concept cars" from a few years ago.
You can look either at the first few pages of this thread or look on the old Wiki through Wayback Machine. You won´t find the pictures though, these were deleted and can´t be found anywhere. Some people definitely have them though, there is a Civetta Fulmine mod in development right now that obviously is based on the original picture.
Before speculating on anything, or posting something saying "This does not fit what the F-series is in real life", we have to remember that the game is not intend to fit a perfectly realistic view on vehicles choice. Devs usualy make something pretty close to what we can see in real life, but they also take some liberties (for example the SRB4 can't be compare with a real life model car, because it's a mix of a lot of cars and style and an original creation from the team). So yes, we can have a rough idea of what something will look like by looking at real life models, but it's not because it's like this irl, that it will be like that in the game
https://wiki.beamng.com/Concepted_vehicles#cite_note-5 this list might be a good source cars already in game (legran wagon & facelift roamer (but not 2014 model)& hopper)
if they, in some stroke of luck, decide to say fuck it and mess with this list of concept cars, then that'd be awesome! they'd flesh out brands like Bruckell and Civetta a bit more. although, it's funny to see that not even this list cares about the mid-late 2000s
Yeah, Civetta needs atleast one more car. I would like to see the Bruckell Albatross be added or some sort of car that atleast has Bruckell Albatross vibes, even if it got scraped and was just a sketch.
