so i've had an idea to make a very popular car where i live, this is not the actual one, but its the same body and easier to recognise, its a very big project for a second mod, but here i'm. My main problem now is getting a unibody reference images, to make the front frame of the car. i'm planing to make full custom jbeams for this, mainly beacuse there is no torcion beam rear suspension on BeamNG.
Cool, glad to see someone doing a car like that. I am a muscle car guy but I own one of these shitboxes in real life. Its my first car. Hope this car won't get abandoned.
Not being funny here but you've never made any sort of mod on here before and you've only just joined a couple of months ago. This is also your first post on the forum. The chances of this even becoming a finished 3D model of any quality is extremely slim. You're meant to have some progression before making a thread, all I see is 2 front wings and a bonnet. You should really have a complete model and ideally put it in game as a mesh slap if possible. Truth is this mod won't happen just like 99.9% of the threads created on here where the creator has nothing to show to begin with. It's pointless spam and devs/admins really need to clamp down on it as it turns the forum into a very unprofessional mess of useless threads that randomly get bumped once in awhile. I'm just being straight up with the truth, don't mean it in a nasty way, but you haven't even released a simple config mod or a skin. How do we know that you have any potential?
I can see a couple of problems here: Telling people that just because they are new and don't have a completely perfect and finished mod to show at the START of the progress thread just makes the mod never get released. Got a problem with tons of unreleased mods? Then stop discouraging people who are trying their literal best at what they want to accomplish. Second, not everyone is a god at modeling. In fact, posting a mod with not even a full model is a great idea, since you can get feedback and tips from the community. Even if it ends up getting abandoned in the future, it's still a learning opportunity. And about the whole potential thing... this place isn't a competition for "who can make the world's best mod" No, it's simply a website for a community so people can come share their mods and look at other mods. Almost every mod on this website still has the potential to be better and more fun, but they are still fine the way they are. You can't expect someone to have a ton of potential at the start, because that's just straight up unfair. I get what you are trying to say, but I can't say I 100% agree with you.
why even bother coming here then? if you only like professional mods from people with years of experience you should leave people who are new to this alone instead of letting them down like this
thats just typical priusrepellent behavior, he acts like this on all threads. people can know how to model outside of the beamng lol, you act like they don't. just because someone joined the forums recently doesnt mean they havent tried modding before, they could have owned beamng since the day it was released and just now make a forum account because they want to share their mods with other people. Dont judge a book by its cover.
Plz stop commenting shit like this. It makes people give up its is one of the reason a lot of people give up. Stop the shit.
We turbo'd a car like wich is in the same state. 1.2L with a 35mm turbo. runs pretty good (another possible config?)
No, he's right even though it might have been put a little harsh. It has nothing to do with only pro's being allowed to post. But truth be told, projects with so little progress often ends up dead due to lack of motivation, time or some other reason. I'm not saying not to believe in people, but there still has to be something for it to be believable. I'm not any better. I start a bunch of projects, and many of them just ends up not being finished. But I don't post it on various different forums Also, it's even in the rules: To make a thread, you must have consistent progresses to show, better if in-game screenshot to show. Do not make a thread if you downloaded a 3D model and opened it in your 3D model with little to no changes. Do not make a thread if you just started your 3D model. Rules like this is put into place to prevent a spam of threads with minimal work done.
Wouldve been better if you posted pics of it when its ready to go in-game, but still, wish you luck with this
