One of the effect used by this ReShade is paid! Hi, I present a ReShade I've made to try out the Ray Tracing ReShade effect by Marty McFly You can support my work here https://paypal.me/wanzera! Techniques used: qUINT_rtgi.fx (RTGlobalIllumination) Unsharp.fx (Unsharp) NFAA.fx (Normal_Filter_Anti_Aliasing) CAS.fx (ContrastAdaptiveSharpen) BloomingHDR.fx (Blooming_HDR) DepthHaze.f (DepthHaze) qUINT_mxao.fx (MXAO) Levels.fx (Levels) Important: Disable the anti-aliasing in your game. For better performances you can also disable the in-game Ambiant Occlusion Q&A: How to install please? Simply download ReShade on their website, open it select BeamNG.drive.x64.exe select Direct3D 10/11/12 Select every effect because I'm not sure which one are needed or not When the installation is done click on "Edit ReShade Settings" Click on the three dots next to "Preset" and select the preset provided in the post (put it inside your game's folder or somewhere where it is safe) One you're in game press on Home to open the ReShade menu Click on "Edit global preprocessor definitons" at the bottom Set RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_REVERSED to 1 and RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_LOGARITHMIC to 1 Click on performance mode at the bottom and you're done Does this work on every map? It does, some map may be a bit too dark or too bright but it's not "broken" Does it work at night and at day? Yep Is the UI broken? It's mostly okay as long as you don't open any menu. If you open menu it's awful You can use the UI fix version provided in the .zip file if you don't want to UI the be broken (keep in mind it's going to look less pretty) Why is there two versions in the zip file? The ui-fix version looks less good but it fixes all the UI issues. How does it affect the performances? Yes. (More seriously, don't except 144fps, I recommend having at least an RTX 2060) Do I need an RTX graphic card? No.
I wish it wasn't paid, paid graphics is stupid, but this kinda looks good I use this instead, ahaha tonemap go BRRRR
Sorry but no, no, and no, I am NOT paying for some stupid graphics mod, I, personally, think that is bull crap
"How dare people ask for $5 a month for something they worked on themselves and had the heart to give it to the public! I shall get it without giving compensation!" It's fine if you don't wanna pay money for something, but the simple concept of paying money for services isn't really BS. It's just one of the simple aspects of a functioning society.
I think having it paid isn't so much an issue but it is too expensive to me. A lot of people makes much bigger mods / graphics mods and they are free
They're often free because the developer(s) don't necessarily need to make money, either because they have enough and are only fulfilling a hobby, or because they're making money in other ways, usually using a free product as a loss leader in the hope that they can convert traffic towards another premium product they make, or selling data, or advertising.
Ah it’s not ray tracing, it’s global illumination. I’ve tried this and still get 200 fps. Makes the game look a lot better. To be honest, the only thing holding BeamNG back is the vegetation, it looks super dated. Otherwise very nice.
I completely agree on this apart from some old maps really do need a texture overhaul. On East Coast USA for example, the bin/trash cans look awful.
Yes, it's 10 dollars. But there's no point in arguing over what 10 dollars is worth spending on. This thread is for ReShade and yet you both are getting off topic and arguing about money.
