Hey guys! So I have a system (Asus x79 Deluxe, 16gb of good RAM I forget the specs of, i7 4820k cooled by a Noctua NH-D14, Nvidia 780ti, and a Corsair RM850 powering it alongside of running the game on a 250gb SSD within the CM Storm Stryker case) that seems as though it should run this game very well, but I'm having significant performance problems. I'm running around 40fps average on Gridmap, but on Dry Rock I run down to 20-30 in windowed 1080p.

I know that performance is better in FS, but I see no performance boost running 1080p windowed vs 1080p full screen (My monitor is naturally 2160p UHD). This leads me to believe I'm CPU bound, but is there any way to increase my performance? This is hardly well-playable.

Edit: Should have mentioned that my average in-game CPU usage hovers around 20%.

That's totally bull. You should be getting 120 - 200+ FPS. Something is wrong. Is your computer running hot? Power settings set to High Performance? Because that's a only a little better than my $400 craptop.

    *Sigh*
Both the socket 2011 processors and the two top GK110 cards (TITAN black and 780ti) have issues with beamNG's game engine. You happen to have both. I think there was a fix for the GK110 cards but I think socket 2011 still doesn't quite work. (This is all IIRC)

Oh yes I can remember that too. Torque3D hates socket2011 chips and the highest end Nvidia cards. That said, if there wasn't a problem you would be getting crazy FPS

Ah damn. I figured it was an issue with my CPU as I see an average of 20% CPU usage from the game. I've had worse problems with the game in the past ever since I upgraded from my ROG laptop. I used to run the same system, but with a GTX 760 and would get CPU usage below 10% and even worse framerate and now I'm up to around 20% average CPU usage, which I guess is better. Haha. Guess I was hoping for there to be a fix. Anyway; hopefully the issue with 2011 will be fixed soon. Thanks for the feedback, man.

Yeah, man. I feel like I should be able to run this @ 4k no problem. Ah well; I'm sure with time I should be able to :D

Allow me, I used to have issues with my 780 TI giving me the worst performance ever. 1 thing fixed it, CPU overclocking. I bumped my 3.5 GHz to 4.0 GHz and went from 20-30 FPS to 60-85 FPS. I am now at 4.4 GHz, but keep in mind you need a aftermarket cooler to overclock, I use a Seidon 240m

I think its actually a case of directX9 generally not liking the GK110. The 2011 socket CPU's do have a deeper instruction pipeline and as a result cant handle multiple branch instructions as easily but I wouldn't think that would cause an issue, can't think of anything else though.

Maybe when Torque3d gets OpenGL on linux we might have OpenGL as a windows option too, that could sort out the GK110 issues.

Its just Ti, which itself is Titanium. The NVidia GTX Titan is another product entirely.

Anywho, yeah, for whatever reason the 780 & its Ti variant don't seem to play nicely with BeamNG at this point in time.
