It's been over a month and a half since the last update and we still haven't had any teaser Tuesdays yet. This is kinda strange, and we know basically nothing about the next update besides the WIP gridmap remake.
Technically we did have 1 on April 20th for Gridmap. I honestly didn't expect to see any until around now, as I noted here. We still have about 3 months until the next update is likely to come out and it's probably going to be a smaller update since last update was a big one that included a fair amount of the WIP stuff we knew about that isn't a long term project.
Holly shit i never knew beamng drive even made teasers this thread is amazing. GRID MAP remastered sounds so fkn cool:0
We havent really got a new map. And the new revamped car is either the bolide or pessima they are ignored for a long time
The Bolide is almost confirmed at this point to be the next remastered vehicle, as even the Pigeon has more content than it. While the ('96) Pessima does need a remaster, I doubt it will come soon, as there are many vehicles that need a remaster more than the Pessima does.
Pigeon revamp is the #1 priority for the next update in my opinion. It's such poor quality, even tho it's the game's mascot!
actually the T-series is the vehicle lacking the most as you can even break some of the lights on it.
I guess the main focus should be finishing off the H Series and Grand Marshall remasters then the Bolide and finally starting on the Covet, 200bx, Pigeon and the 80s and 90s pessimas. Oh and the sunburst mini remaster.
remasters isn't update speculation.... So far, many older cars got a remaster so logically all will get eventually.
My speculation, what's next? We literally have nothing to go by. The Wendover was the last car that was acknowledged to be in development by the team. No teasers, no offhanded forum posts. Have there been any new backend engine technology additions that may benefit a new car? Like when torsion beams were added for what would later be called the Piccolina? or E engines / duel engines well before we had any e-cars. I am looking here because I think the devs have said that every new car they add should require some new engine tech that isn't in place yet.
It is speculation though. Even if we already know that all older vehicles will get a remaster, we can still speculate on when the remaster will come and what the remaster will add/change/remove.
Look at the difference between the brake models and textures of the Bolide vs Pigeon lol Really shows how much the latter needs a model and texture revamp
as i've said before, it's possible burnside is being extended past its original death year of 1980, going off the newer burnside banner in the utah dealership. and if it were to be a RWD platform, it could use a newer DOHC gavril V8 the same as an H series facelift or even a grand marshal facelift. considering the incessant nagging, I would be surprised if they weren't working on some sort of pre-war car, either volume or high end, since it's in a wide but unfilled demographic. similarly, more modern cars are likely coming, (that aforementioned burnside possibly being one) as far as technical things, what about hydropneumatic or magnetic suspension? you could feasibly put the hydropneumatic in some older cherrier model (which could also have a wankel engine), or magnetic suspension would fit quite well in a modern luxury car.
