Hello, I recently wanted to create my home town map and need help where to start. The town is in Europe/Croatia in city Rijeka close to racetrack Grobnik. Very nice place it have a racetrack, dirt roads near river, little towns, there is small castle and I think it will be very nice to drive it in BeamNG. https://goo.gl/maps/qCCBK7oqDkAwdJuA7 Here is some videos: So I am totaly noob for map building, I once try making it in RaceTrack Builder for Assetto Corsa but the program is limited to have many roads. Tell me what do you think, it is possible to use map/terrain from BlenderGIS and import it in beamng and in world editor start to make roads or some other kind of method to start?
It would definitely be possible, it looks vanilla beamng assets would fit a Croatian setting pretty well (perhaps buildings would be an issue, but I'm sure some from the Italy map would do). You could use something like this for the heightmap.
Tnx for replying. For assets is not a problem I can try to make some or use from Italy like you said. I can't figuret out how to start. How to transfer from blender to beamng and start puting roads.
No clue if it's doable or not, but you have my support for making it happen! Just one minor tidbit, if you're open for suggestions. Make sure to have a couple of time trials once you're finished. Maybe 2 for the racetrack (a 2 minute long one and a 1 minute short one), 2 rally circuits on the dirt roads (one long one short), a mixed circuit with some dirt roads and some tarmac, 2 town circuits in the town(one long one short), and maybe a "Castle Run"
