Never tested Beammp, so I'm waiting for someone to respond to you and give valid arguments. (It's really stupid to say when i think again)
This is like asking why you should eat a Mars instead of a Snickers. It's an alternative for BeamNG Multiplayer, maybe people can't play BeamMP and play KissMP instead? There's no real way to answer this question.
KissMP doesn't require you to be a member in any way, while BeamMP at least once did (maybe still do?) Additionally, KissMP often runs slightly better, which for some can be the difference between playable and unplayable (your results may vary of course)
Except it isn't, is it? Multiplayer is multiplayer. People play the one which has the best experience, which is lag, fps, player count. A Multiplayer mod can be both objectively bad or good A chocolate bar has many different variants/brands because people have different opinions or tastes. You can't say a Snickers is objectively bad, as that is your opinion, and the things that make up that opinion (opinion is subjective) cannot be measured or quantified. A multiplayer mod, however, can be.
Well some people care more about chocolate, some care about caramel, and some care about [insert other ingredient here - I don't make the things, I just eat them ]. This could be considered the fps, etc, making it more opinionated.
Didn't require discord, didn't require a huge setup. Literally just one .zip folder. Runs better, too. No installers, open source code, all things that the BeamMP version did not have. BeamMP was first, that's why it's bigger.
BeamMP require an account to get a name, but you can play as guest. But it requires a discord account to create a server. I would've liked to use KissMP, but at high speeds, cars were shaking like crazy on my screen, and whenever i approached one, i was sent flying. Wich made high speed polices chases impossible.
Previously, you had to have discord in order to even play. There was no guest option. BeamMP requires you to agree to a super long ToS, otherwise you can't play. KissMP is also open source, which is a super cool thing to do. I tried BeamMP, didn't like it but each to their own. I prefer KissMP due to the reasons above, furthermore the community is really nice. It's small, and you pretty much know everyone who plays often. I didn't have the issues you are talking about, and I did a lot of cops and robbers chases.
Yeah, i would've used KissMP if i could, but by the time i discovered it i already had a beammp account. And the issues are certainly caused by the fact that i have a potato pc.
It's free. Has voice chat. Has a feature that if you go far enough away from somebody else's car, it stops simulating it, so it's much better for computers like mine. Improvements made often. Doesn't change the files of the game, so it doesn't have problems that Beammp has like it screwing up the solo game.
Oh ok. Cool. Would you have to pay if you want to change what map the server is on or something though? Or does it go by server names?
Привет. Не могли бы вы сказать мне, как решить эту проблему? (когда я пытаюсь соединиться с другом или он со мной, мы получаем ошибку: соединение не может быть подтверждено. Проверьте, работает ли мост).?
Open source, to many people that means a lot. Completely free (not that BeamMP was prohibitively expensive or anything) Easy to set up - Mod zip in the mods folder and run the bridge, that's it. No sign in required. Active and receptive devs, good attitude to the product and player's expectations of it, constant improvements based on feedback. A focus on lightness, no unnecessary bloat that makes the code harder to optimise or troubleshoot. There's nothing wrong with competition. There can be more than one multiplayer mod.
I played with a friend for the last time a month ago in multiplayer. Now I have updated Beamng Drive and Kiss MP. I set up all the old settings but a friend can't log in, Bridge is running, and I have it and he has it, the server is also running but it won't let him "Failed to confirm connection. Check if bridge in running" what to do? P. S We use Hamachi as before.
