a bolide remaster (as seen in slight changes in industrial site remaster video). could include tube frame racing/rally version.
You could be right actually. The Prerunner took 3 updates before it came out. The bolide could be the same if it also has a tubular chassis.
I think tubular chassis is easier to Jbeam than normal, I mean you can use big numbers for values because it's strong and stiff, and also you literally see where to put your nodes and beams... I think the reason why that took so long was because it was mostly 1 person working on it as far as I can tell. Also where is the proof that the Bolide is getting one?
It's not the tubular chassis, its that only 1 or 2 people are working on it because it is a special sort of vehicle. As far as I know, Ferrettank was the only one working on the pickup remaster.
Some sort of 2010s hybrid power train would bring a lot to the game, it’s the only drivetrain type we don’t have.
cmon p_enis, you're better than this. speculation, not suggestions. https://www.beamng.com/threads/vehicle-suggestions-see-first-post.79/
For now beamng doesn't like hybrid powertrains, for some reason an engine cannot get an input from another engine, so it blocks the possibility to make any electric system that's connected to an ICE. Furthermore, wheels cannot receive more than one input, so the only system that sort of works is to put an ICE in the front and an electric engine in the back but that's far from being the ideal and funnier solution (and im not even talking about all the throttle and gearbox conflicts...). I really hope they'll make one day improvements to their powertrains systems so it opens the possibilty to have real hybrid powertrains
That's not true. There is nothing preventing you from creating hybrid powertrains and the relevant required devices.
but why does it's written "Only one engine per tree" (picture is taken from the old wiki about the powertrains https://wiki.beamng.com/Powertrain ) ? Maybe this text is outdated but I tried to do it on my end and it always ended up with a crash or problems with the powertrain tree, maybe I did it wrong but there was nothing showing it was possible. I know that you can make some sort of hybrid with an electric drivetrain being totally independant from the ICE drivetrain, but what I was complaining about is the fact that you can't make an electric engine to receive the power of an ICE, a bit like audi's or porsche's hybrids systems (with an electric engine inside the gearbox) I already had a look on arcanox's hybrid systems, his mod is very impressive but the problem is that he managed to get close to an hybrid vehicle but it's not exactly like it, the front wheels aren't connected to the rear wheels (try to go full throttle at low speed, the front wheels will keep spinning), and it looks like arcanox had to create a very complex system of "torque portals" to bypass the limitations I had with the powertrain system
Because we have no need for devices other than what we have already. You could easily create an inline electric motor that has an input and an output. Or a transmission that includes an electric motor etc etc. You won't get any hybrid without lots of coding in multiple places, that's why the existing hybrid mods are as complex as they are. But all of it is perfectly supportable.
So "supportable" means that you need to code it yourself with LUA, rather than simply implementing it with existing devices? That's a weird kind of support but ok
