hello, Descent road is my first map. She was WIP since a long time, but now that i understand better how work the editor, she came out of the closet. It's less ugly now -she contains: a long road along the moutain side for hillcllimb or downhill rally, very hazardous dirt tracks with jumps and banked turns- I hope you will have fun with her ps: all my thanks for the peoples who have help me. It's difficult when you are a neophyte and when you speek not well english
Re: [WIP] descent road I know some Spanish it has its similarities to French! Es muy bonita! Lol. Interesante.. Bueno para tus primera proyecto.. My Spanish is terrible therefore any translating towards French is even worse. Looks good for your first project bud!
Re: [WIP] descent road Salut bobby_boulgat! Bienvenue sur le forum BeamNG.drive. Ta carte est très amusant à conduire des véhicules tout-terrain. Moi, J'aime ce type de cartes. Bonne chance avec tes futurs mods et merci
Re: [WIP] descent road Regarde grand, j'aime bien le conception. hope I wrote that correct, French is not my best language.
Re: [WIP] descent road it is comprehensible, it is the most important. thank you for the effort. The terrain is quite large. He as the surperficie of his terrain of origin (that is to say Industrial map)
thats sad i was really looking foward to this being finished, i might use it as a base level tho, i'll credit u for it to
->i'm sorry but hope is not lost. if anyone want improve and accelerate this creation, well, he can do it. but it will boring me if he change the concept / the spirit of the level. otherwise, i have not completly give up. je suis désolé mais l'espoir n'est pas perdu. si quelqu'un veut améliorer et accélérer cette création, ....et bien..... qu'il le fasse. mais cela m'ennuierai qu'il change l'esprit du niveau. cela dit je n'ai pas complétement baissé les bras.
Got a nice picture, But man it took me like 30 minutes to get up this mountain. I had to beef up the truck lol. (just a little bit) Nice map tho. (imported from here)
Re: [WIP] descent road The track looks awesomely long! Have you taken it from top to bottom? How long does it take? Also, for smoothing out roads, try using either the "Set Height" tool or "Flatten" tool (The former is best but most tedious) and stairstep _.- the track then smooth it with the incline tool.. I forget what it's actually called but it's the S or ~ shaped one not the actual smoothing tool. Although with roads that long I'd say do that where one is likely to go fast and do the best on the rest. Good luck if you're still aiming to finish this map! It looks really fun and exceedingly challenging to both work on and drive on! This is exactly what I thought... how about Spanish? Because the only thing I remember is Je ne pas parle francais.
Re: [WIP] descent road @BlackVenom The track looks awesomely long! Have you taken it from top to bottom? How long does it take? -> Prr. no idea. several minutes. look at that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NK4rABQMefU (exept the dude climbs instead of go down, but well, it's good too ) Also, for smoothing out roads, try using either the "Set Height" tool or "Flatten" tool (The former is best but most tedious) and stairstep _.- the track then smooth it with the incline tool.. I forget what it's actually called but it's the S or ~ shaped one not the actual smoothing tool. Although with roads that long I'd say do that where one is likely to go fast and do the best on the rest. -> i use a lot "stairstep". a little the others. i try to play with the pressure and the area but what i want to do is quite particular. it's for my banked turns. i would like a cylindrical/ spherical/ toric shapes. I suppose that it will be easer if i pass by a real modeling, but i don't anderstand this modelisator. (and despite i had modeling a lot of things. Beamng team, do you know Solidworks ?) Good luck if you're still aiming to finish this map! It looks really fun and exceedingly challenging to both work on and drive on! -> thanks a lot. i'll finish. This is exactly what I thought... how about Spanish? Because the only thing I remember is Je ne pas parle francais. [/QUOTE] -> ich spreche nicht spanisch. it's a pity, i know that there are french here.
Banked turns, huh? Give up. I think I get what you mean and those are the hardest to make and make smooth. Especially for roads. I'd say model it if it's a must. If you don't want to mess with much of that you could make a "trace" (if you will) for it. Model the curve, place it in the editor, match the terrain to it. At any rate, it's tedious work! Keep it as simple as possible otherwise you'll drive yourself mad. Sprechen sie deutsch? Pero no hablas espanol, eh? We are every which way but up lol
yes, it is. that's what i meant. i don't anderstand this 3d modelisator... we are alright, i will continue with the basics tools. i will try to make something of correct/potable. in all case, i know well that my terrain will be very far to be perfect, there was already problems at the beginning, like by exemple the grass texture, i don't have whichever had 3d blades.. why? i don't know. if never....... , the next time, i will training me on a small terrain. and will make a smaller hehehe. no pablas espagnoles senior
I have to figure out the groundcover as well. I'll let you know if you don't already have it when I get to it. I'm not sure if I'm going to do any work on it today. I think it may be under forest painter.
it's nice. i will see where you said, but it's strange, i have a grass texture who is all black when i use it. i suppose that's this one.
