BeamNG crashes my PC

Since the current Windows 10 update came out on June 10, 2021, my computer has constantly froze to the point where I have to hard-reset just for playing BeamNG. I verified the integrity and files on both steam and the BeamNG launcher and did a clean reinstall of the game, to no avail.

My PC is only 7 years old and has Intel Core i5 Inside. However if I use other programs and play other steam games, my PC doesn’t freeze up. Can someone help me figure out the problem? My guess is the update since the game wasn’t like this in the previous version of the OS.

My other guess is the high settings. However the settings have been like this before and it didn’t crash.

UPDATE: My third guess is the hardware. It could be some kind of issue with my PC that causes this issue, although it only happens with BeamNG and nothing else.

 

What about safe mode? Did u try that?

I did it again and it seems fine so far. Could be a mod I got from some website. And yes, bootleg mods are no good.

 

I did. It says there are no threats. Oh and the mod is a 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air from a website known as 2fast.racing.

 

I believe the “High Performance” option for the power on my PC was the culprit. I turned that setting off and set my power to balanced (which is recommended) and it works so far. I hope that fixed the issue.

 

Unfortunately my computer is still freezing even when the cpu is low (and the memory) when BeamNG is running. What is the problem!?

 

Windows really screws up computers when you update (june update at least..)... i either reset or do a clean reinstall... and i have 12 year old hdd. (potato specs).

i have reinstalled windows completely and will update the thread if i remember.

 

To give a clear description, every time I play BeamNG for 10 minutes or more, the taskbar freezes, no programs can be opened or won’t function properly, and task manager cannot be opened. I feel like this update is just a virus, and the errors only happen when BeamNG is running. Is my game broken even if I reinstalled it?

Why you just don't install the older version of windows 10 and get rid of this problem?

 

I can’t. It says it has been more than 10 days which isn’t true.

 

Tbh, I'd turn the settings down to medium..

 

I did that but still freezes.

 

I also want to point out that all of the Mbits/s on task manager freeze as well. Including performance stats. What could be the issue?

I scanned and updated everything on my PC and BeamNG and it said nothing was wrong with either of them. Could it be a hardware issue? Sorry for the spam.

Hah. I get the joke. But still. It’s only been like this since Thursday evening.

 

your computer is from like 11 years ago, its suuuper old. i wouldnt expect anything to work properly on it. even if you could get it to work in beamng its gonna run horrible.
