The front grille of the cherrier Vivace is a bit rough but beyond that the rest of the car is beautiful
The headlights look weird and the car is overall way too much complicated, especially on the front. But like i said i find it accurate for a 2020 car. And the race configs drives really great.
Well, i find the citroën 2CV quirky, but simple and cute. Not cluttered and with a lot of unnecessary things like modern cars IMHO.
A lot of those remind me of the Tograc but I can't quite tell why, maybe it's just the overall French-ness
you are not satisfied with everything, then you complain that there are a lot of old cars, then you do not like the new ones. what kind of cars do you need then
Everybody : I live in France and a lot of french cars are really weird looking. Just like the new Citroën C4 or the DS 3 Crossback... Even the new Peugeot 308 is quite strange, but its design is a bit more "sporty" and "serious" looking... Renault has a more consensual design with something a bit less original... But it still has something different... In an old advertisement, they called this the "French touch". Here is the new electric Renault Megane (still under camouflage but you can see some design elements) For the interior, I think that it's a mix of a Peugeot interior with the new facelifted Seat Ibiza, with a Skoda Octavia steering wheel. For the engines, its actually not a french car but a German car. The most powerful non hybrid french hatchback is the Renault Mégane RS with a 1.8 I4 Turbo which makes 300hp, and it's enormous of a french car ! And btw actually no sport french car (Alpine A110, Renault Mégane, Peugeot 508 PSE, Bugatti veyron, and...... that's it) has a manual transmission. So it's actually no logic to have a 410hp french hatchback with a 2.5 5 cylinder and a manual transmission ! I just realized that I wrote a lot , hope it'll help the thread...
Ngl, I love the Peugeot and Renault styling. The lines are just.. correct? It doesn't look that wierd..
That's why french cars are an exception in the car industry, they got weird designs but peoples manage to like it. It's in no way comparable to any german car
Yes, sadly, today, much of Stellantis's french cars (DS, Peugeot and Citroën) have a good or at least original design, but they are Motorised by 1.2 I3 engines or hybrid engines. There's only a few powerul full petrol engine like in some DS, but it's only a 1.6 I4... But you're french too so I think that you know this
The french realy downgraded a lot on the inside as i read here. You literaly mentioned nearly each car trend i deeply dislike/raly hate Hybridisation down sizing Automatic transmission only forced to pack dozend of assistance systems in your car. Everything forced you arent even alowed to chose. Literaly removin anything that makes driving fun and entertains the driver. The vivace is realy a idealistic vehicle we all would want to own in the future in real life because its a diverse vehicle where everyone can chose what he wants. No wonder why i unsubscribed from any non purely historical car channel. And disconnected with any other sorce. The future will be a deep dark hole for any car intusiast and car lovers (and also regular people because they buy throw away products) when that trend continues like that. And i say that with 25. You can call me doomer but thats just the truth. Well at least i will stay to my 325ci e46 until i die.
Yes I quite agree with you, even if for the most people, a little automatic car with an hybridation is better as a big Diesel truck (for the driver comfort and the environment, but this isn't a place to debate about the environment). I would be fun to have something like an 90" sporty strange french car, like a Citroën Xantia Activa V6 But this isn't the vehicle suggestion thread so...
Yea this isnt the place but i would be easy able to debunk hybrids and evs quite easily on their production and recource wasting. Also with bringing sythetic and bio fuels into the race with power to liquids. But i will leave it there
I speculate that devs are extra interested of perfecting their simulation, because petrol cars are dead species, masses, fashion etc. has made sure of that, only few years and it's over for petrol cars, you can get one as used only. So Vivace having raspy inline 5 is like memorial statement of how cool sounds those piston engines used to made, 10 years from now it's over pretty much, so everyone should support these devs in their quest to move that cool experience of driving to virtual world as bestes way possible, so we few old fashioned fools can enjoy from what ultimately would be lost in next 20-30 years completely. Hopefully hardware will be around to run the game in that time, although for me it is unlikely I will see world without petrol cars as my age is too high, lucky me, I guess.
