Yeah, I have a whole summer to do this. And since learning suspension and engine would take a very long time, I have someone else helping me with that part (basically doing it for me)
quick question. How is the modding community going about modding with the new PBR update? Is there a way to incorporate the PBR Materials into the mods? Sorry if its a dumb question...
That's nice. Speaking of the engine, are you going to be using a custom sound, or not? Personally I think the stock V8 sound in BeamNG is the best option that I know of. Unless you have a high quality cup car sound that you can put into it
For now I'll probably just use the stock V8, unless I can create a good enough cup sound for it. --- Post updated --- Yes, it's possible to add PBR! I even created a temporary PBR material to this mod, let me grab the image here --- Post updated --- Here!
Also, since I will probably need it, if anyone wants to help get this thing done send a Discord dm to Solarpower07#3087! Any and all help is appreciated.
ok it would still be cool but dont want you to do extra work the mod is looking really good cant wait man
Today I'll be fixing something that's bothered me for a bit, the fact that the body is the same on both inside and out, time to make the inside of the body actually realistic!
Awesome progress my dude! My biggest question (and a complaint that I've had with other dedicated racecars in this game) is that the deformation isn't great at all, like the sheet metal and fiberglass is made from really stiff and durable rubber. Are you planning at making this deform and fall apart like the regular cars?
It's in the works, and although far from perfect, it's in progress! Everything on the outside can fall away from the vehicle, while only a few on the inside cannot. The rubber-ness is hopefully not what this will become.
I recommend not asking those types of questions in the future. Coming from a modder, its almost impossible to answer this question and can be a bit annoying at times.
NASCAR Stock Car vs Latemodel Stock Car (wheels removed for comparison)! Once wheels and an engine are added to the NASCAR Stock Car, it will be another major step towards release!
