i can run bf4 on high 1080p on that card on 60fps so it doesn't suck that much. i run BeamNG in 1080p with settings on medium.

1080p 60FPS at high settings in BF4.. As a former 650ti Superclocked 2GB owner, I find that hard to believe.

you'll be surprised how much you can out of a LC GTX650ti. :) still don't know why i'm lagging though, how about some help with that problem, i know my gpu can handle it so don't know if it is an unstable gamebuild or what ever it is, it is after all only alpha. :)

What's your GPU usage? Could be a CPU bottleneck in Drive.

I was able to run Drive on high with no or little postFX but only because I was CPU bottlenecked and it wouldn't have made a difference if I used lower settings. (Now I have an R9 270 and FX-8320. Much better.)

well, after I OC'd my laptop, it runs WAAY better than before, I get playable FPS with all high settings except postfx, hdr, and lighting (low) whereas before I was getting about 10-12 fps with all low settings. And, after leaving BNG on idling on accident for 2 days while the laptop was plugged in and the screen was on, the CPU didn't burn out, was staying at a consistent 70-75c and have yet to experience any issues...so that statement is somewhat incorrect...instead of "making someone work harder for the same pay", it's like "the person works harder, and doesn't ask for more pay, but requires extra breaks" :) I couldn't be happier with my toaster, and after all sorts of screwing around on my computer and jacking shit up, it still always boots right up, never gave me blue screen, and does not get too hot.

edit also just realized, after checking my settings, that I actually have PostFX turned on and all options enabled...was wondering why my game looked so nice. Ill post a screenshot of my settings and FPS:

    Here is 1024x768 res:

And the smallest window (dunno, I guess 640x480?):

not bad for a laptop that I got for 150 bucks from a co worker for work : Samsung NP305E5A (no upgrade at all)

I have modded the heatsink on my laptop and I have overclocked the Quadro chip quite a bit. (800+ MHz. Like 540MHz or something stock.) CPU usually stays below 60-65c and GPU stays below 70c most of the time. (Fan on low.) It stays even cooler if I use it on a table or desk instead of my lap or in bed.

I tried playing Drive on it like last year. 40+ FPS on low with a stripped D15. (I think that might have been before I upgraded it to dedicated graphics but whatever.)

I need to do something like that...maybe re-paste my CPU. It does have integrated graphics, but still, everything looks pretty nice and runs DECENT. If I disable PostFX and stuff, the FPS shoots right up, so obviously the GPU is bottlenecking, but apparently, my CPU is up to the task (AMD A6-3420M)

well in terms of spending like 100 bucks on a "POS" laptop, I manage pretty well with what I have. Plus, I have no need for a desktop, I am never home and will just collect dust. I am considering getting something in the 500-700 range, not too crazy, but I still think I would rather pay off my cars sooner. I keep spending retarded money and I wonder why my credit sucks lol My husband is ready to strangle me, I just bought some mods for my Mazda and that bitch isn't even paid off yet lol. But ill consider getting a desktop once I am in a more stable position, financially.

ha cwazy you were the person telling me about the diff between the 2 CPU's from AMD yesterday. Thanks for that :)
