Update Speculation thread

Okay heres my speculation for the next big update this winter:
The Bolide gets obviously revamped as it was stated and we already have sweet sweet backgrounds with some peeks at the reworked vehicle.
Do you guys think there will be a facelift model and maybe a cruiser config with an automatic trans?
The next map that would get a revamp could be the EKT Driving Center it would be pretty neat since its the only german map and it would be so cool with some minor infrastructure on an expansed ETK map.
Give me your opinions and guesses!

Yeah, I know its not saying much, but knowing what's coming, I don't want to ruin the fun for the devs. Its always fun to hop on here with something you have created and drop a hint for people to get excited about, and for the devs it would be no different. I did not do the work, so I will let the devs drop their own hints. Once features are known and out in the wild I will talk about it, but I don't want to ruin that fun for them. They did the work, so that is their fun to have. Granted what I will say is that even through all the speculation, a couple of the features/content that is coming I haven't seen anyone even bring up to speculate yet, so game on to see who can guess what that is

 

I feel like people are just stalking CK now.

So my hopes were true and the Pickup, Van and GM will get more and deep love in the future just like the lately remasters.

 

When we get the Bolide remaster and an extra vehicle to go with it, the most logical (and previously speculated) extra vehicle would be a shorter wheelbase tube-chassis rally car with a similar powertrain to the Bolide.

That's rad! In what events does it race? You got any data on this crazy machine? (Maybe PM me so it won't clog this thread).

I have to say this could be pretty cool to have a home-built dirt track Bolide in Beam, especially as rallycross tends to get a bit... um... contacty? However, without any data to back this idea up, I'll admit it's not exactly well-based speculation.

 

I mean, there was a couple contemporary Ferrari's similar to the Bolide that came in a rally spec. 308 GTB and GT/M as well as the 288 GTO.

Then there's the Porsche 959. Very different car but a contemporary sports/super car.

On the less related topic of modern rally performance cars, there are Porsche Cayman rally cars.

sorry for all the commotion, I didn't look hard enough and go too excited...

 

I was just thinking for the inevitable UI overhaul, I hope that there is options for modifications (custom menu SFX and music, colour schemes, backgrounds, icons, etc). would be fun to replace the sound effects with ones from Gran Turismo 3 or 4.

 

One thing I noticed in the 0.23 changelog is that the sunburst got new windshield wiper meshes and not much else. The interesting thing about that is, only new vehicles and recent remasters (legran and pigeon) have similar quality wiper meshes. Older vehicles, with the exception of the DT40L, have wipers that are nowhere near reality. It may just be a stretch, but I feel like that pattern suggests there may be something for sunburst in the nearish future
