Re: General discussion chat It's probably on airbags. The driver can raise and lower the suspension at any time, so it's probably only that low when parked.
Re: General discussion chat I wouldnt even go there with mint, its ubuntu based and frankly even 1.0 is too new and bloated for a 35MHz processor. Wondering if my favourite distro would even run (crunchbang, significantly lighter weight than mint). Time for buildroot DSL, Puppy or Arch might fit.
Re: General discussion chat I think I'm going to buy an Corsair H60 CPU cooling to replace my noisy, bad stock CPU cooler and buy a new PSU, probably a Corsair CX750M to make my PC prepared for a new GPU in the close future, possibly a GeForce GTX 760 or 770. I currently have a Corsair CX500 PSU and a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650, it doesn't run games at very high graphics. Opinions on my choice of things? Maybe an AMD with the same perfomance as the 760 or 770 that's possibly cheaper?
Re: General discussion chat Being that you are not in America I'm not sure if pricing will follow, but meh. A) You don't need a new PSU. I've got a 550w and both with a 770 and 7970 I've never broken 450w with monitor, speakers, and pc. B) To max new games you will want to look at a 770-class card. It might be worth waiting ~2 months for maxwell but if you really want/need one then this gen will be fine C) In the US a new 280X (AMD 770 pretty much) tends to run about $250 whereas a new 770 is ~$320. A used 7970/280x will be as cheap as $150 since mining died out.
Re: General discussion chat Had a mate who used the Corsair H80i and went through 2 under warranty before giving up on that model, runs an H50 instead and hasnt looked back. Hopefully the H60 is more representative of H50 quality than 80i - - - Updated - - - So having been almost alone for most of the week while parents and sisters are off on holiday (brother is still here) I have decided that the house is too quiet. I just came and sat here in the living room and keep expecting to tread on the disney princess figures the 3 year old just loves to collect or trip on the 6 year old's barbies or their brio or something. 1am so not expecting any DVD's on but during the day they usually have something on in the background making some sort of noise and that isnt there. One of the 2 little ones talking to themselves as they have tea parties with teddies or someone hopping around my room because they want me to get the bikes out and play in the garden. But no. Nothing. Kinda miss it, house just feels empty with 2 of us in it. Also astounded myself by how many british insults are genital related. If I listed them I'd probably be banned so I won't. But I think beginning an urban dictionary search at "bell" gets you around most of them.
