Drags everyone into a group -> Join Call. That's not wasting time, that's literally three buttons they hit. It's also to help Archives so when someone watches it they can get the 'whats what' of what is going on. This has nothing to do with eyes or brain.
1. Someone suggested the devs commentate in the next stream. 2. The devs said no 3. a debate started it between the users suggesting ways to do it and if they should I love this community. Personally I was happy to hear some Boards of Canada n stuff being played.
Things To Improve On: 1. Interior glitches out like steering wheel/seats whenever in hard accidents! 2. Try to keep the cars from merging from head on/High speed collisions... 3. The Tires/Suspension model is sometimes a little to stiff when in accidents.... 4. Make some more parts of the car fall off during accidents eg. Doors, Seats, etc. 5. Try to clean the clipping issues up and make all parts solid! Keep up the good work guys and i love the progress!
i liked the music and i don't understand what was wrong with the mods just talking to us through the chat thing
People watching through Archive. Not everyone can watch it LIVE and it'll help them out with knowing what's going on and getting more answers.
Also just to mention I did notice quite a few shading issues. Where the cars had deformed such as on the side of the Vanster
One more thing. Based on looking at real pictures of collisions: 6. When in an accident make the car have Debris/Particals on the floor when in accidents eg. http://www.eyeonannapolis.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/Rt214accident5.jpg As u see there is lots of debris on the floor which leads me to my next point: 7. Make the material the car is made of a little more rigid so it kinks more and is not like a paper car... You guys did a pretty good job of that in the live stream but the car still looks a little bit like its made of paper... Looking at the footage it kinks really good but some parts look like crumpled paper when kinked.. So if you make the chassis a little more rigid will pay dividends One more thing, in some of the cars the hood is paper thin, try to make the hood just a tad bit more thick....Right now the hood looks like a sheet of tin foil and acts like one a little bit as well but you got the physics down mostly.... Anyway what do i know, im just an armchair physicist.....
I think your only valid suggestion thus far has been that there isn't enough debris left on the ground. Metal sheets in real life crease so looking like paper is fine. Lots of real crashes leave the body panels looking like crumpled paper. Watch the video below regarding general crash behavour; There's so little difference that its insignificant. so yes, armchair physicist giving opinion science, again. Stop it. the only thing that seems 'wrong' is that cars jiggle after an accident and can't seem to stop vibrating.
Salute! Good stuff gets eaven better! The new vids are incredible.. ..So, lets tribute the idea for a little while, what is growing into the new BeamNG https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOyrEaXDZRs EDIT : The vid is not mine, but its great none the less
I suddenly hate you, BeamNG team. I missed the original live stream, and plummeted into a state of deep depression. However, at around midnight last night, I found out that you guys posted a link to the old live streams in the blog section. I spent all night watching and rewatching the hour and a half of footage, clapping like an excited little girl. I almost started crying after I finished the last video. The game is beautiful, and I hate you guys for making me stay up all night watching your project in action. In all seriousness, I do have a few suggestions and questions I'd like to address: 1. Are some cars made out of different materials than others? I noticed in the brief footage of the Ibishu Pigeon that the body was extremely rigid, and after the first rollover, a part of the roof had detached. Was this simulating a fiberglass body, or was it just a glitch? I remember Gabester mentioning something about different materials in the Pigeon thread. 2. The Civetta Bolide seems extremely durable. In many of the head-on crashes, the Bolide suffered very little damage. I'm no physics expert, but wouldn't the Bolide deform more in such an impact? 3. I love how different cars deform in different ways depending on their size and weight. I particularly enjoyed watching the head-on collision between the Covet and the Van. The hatchback was knocked violently backwards, but the van barely even slowed down. 4. If you guys create another video, I'd love to see more jumps, especially in the Ibishu Pigeon. 5. MOAR MOONHAWK! That's become my personal favorite car. Even though the interior isn't finished, I'd still love to see more gameplay with it. 6. I remember seeing a giant ramp in the test map. You guys did a few barrel rolls of the side, but never actually drove up it. I think it'd be cool to ride the entire ramp at a high speed with the Bolide. I've been off-and-on watching the project develop, but I'm officially hooked after watching those three videos. Nice job guys! Thanks for showing us some awesome gameplay!
