I don't think people who caught(and recovered) from a disease ever need vaccination, the immune response from fighting the pathogen itself is more effective than any vaccination. People who never caught that disease should get vaccinated.
Again, do whatever you want to. It's your choice obviously. Yes, but there's differences between the common cold and COVID-19. We as a species do get sick from colds and stuff, but there were steps we could've taken to get COVID under control. Well, I didn't catch it and I'm vaccinated. So yay!
It wouldn't be the first time the government lied to people, particularly minorities, that's why I linked an official CDC statement on how awfully they treated the African American community in the Tuskegee Experiments. Some people don't have major side effects, and it's great that they don't, but some do, and I personally know several people (who were forced by their job or school to get vaccinated despite having already had COVID) that ended up feeling so awful they could barely move for multiple days. Also, when people feel that they are seeing arguments ignored, particularly those of healthcare workers, backed up by science, such as the Houston Methodist Hospital workers' proof of antibodies*, they usually become even more hesitant to get the vaccine, and this is what leads them to feel that it no longer makes sense to get vaccinated. *Naturally created antibodies were found to be effective in all but 0.65% of people according to a Danish study of 4,000,000 people before vaccines were available - 26,000 reinfections total.
Spoiler: You will definitely disagree with this and that's okay :) Well, mask mandates are coming back because COVID has gotten worse and too many people are unvaccinated. The chances were looking very good for not having to wear masks, but now that Delta has spread and gotten worse. The mask mandates are coming back. Btw, I get your religious argument, but I know anti-vaxxers who are at least wearing masks. Don't get me wrong. I'm so looking forward to getting of COVID and getting things back to normal. However, it definitely looks like mask mandates are gonna be in place until further notice. This new variant of COVID is bad to the point where even vaccinated people are being encouraged to wear masks. Yeah, it looks like COVID could still be thing next year. So great. Btw, I'm fine with wearing masks in 2022. I do get worried about how long it's gonna be sometimes, but it's not gonna affect stuff that much.
I really hope we dont get it here in WA, though i reckon it wont be long before an easterner finds their way into the state, this Delta just spreads like a bushfire
I think he's saying that there is some propaganda and that it spreads even faster than the actual virus (which does spread pretty quickly). I'll respond to the rest later, but I wanted to make sure he wasn't misunderstood.
What !? How on earth do you lot think im talking about propaganda, the VIRUS actually does spread like wild fire because in the eastern states (here in Australia) a few weeks ago there wasn't one case and now theres bloody 2000+ cases
Sorry if my terrible wording has caused misinterpretation. I didn't mean that Delta doesn't spread, what I meant is propaganda spreads faster than Delta. Richard Stallman, founder of Free Software Foundation, advocates Don’t watch TV coverage of Covid-19!
Congratulations, You are correct! It's okay. Btw, I have not been watching television coverage of COVID, though I've reading about it on the internet. Btw, I didn't read your post well. I'm sorry.
My advice? Always read news, never watch it. As for covid, the best thing you can do is get updates directly from your jurisdiction's online dashboard, that way you get all the numbers and none of the drama (or commercials).
reading news has just as much potential for bias. I personally find that getting news from joke sites is often best, because the only opinion put on it is completely cynical and lacks any broad political motive. if you want further details, that's when you look at more mainstream sites.
