I've been trying to edit the rear suspension height for a while, and these codes seems to affect it. But can anyone explain it to me? Since I'm a noobie at this.

    {"beamDeform":,"beamStrength":},
    {"beamSpring":,"beamDamp":},

Idk all of them exactly but atleast I know BeamPrecompression changes the ride height.

The one in either the springs or the shocks depending on the type of suspension.

Many of the values appeared to be 1, how do I change it?
    --- Post updated ---
    Oh wait
    --- Post updated ---
Still, all of the values of BeamPrecompression is 1.0
    --- Post updated ---
Changed both spring and shock values to 0.1, no effect
    --- Post updated ---
Changed value to 100, no effect

But it makes the suspension stiffer or softer

All of the BeamPrecompressions are 1.0 by default. You can change them to change the ride height. For example change it to 2 or 0.5 and see what happens
Edit: (Didnt reload the page before posting, I didn't see previous posts)

On most official cars it would be the one with a "$rideheight" variable in it instead of a number, depending on what springs are selected, if my memory serves me right then if you are on one of the race ones you can change the max value for rideheight under the variables section

And that $rideheight changes the BeamPrecompression, so BeamPrecompression changes the ride height

Mod vehicles aren't good to experiment, edit vanilla vehicles to experiment (don't forget make a backup for them)

Whenever you have a go at it again what can try is find the beams for the springs, then find the beamprecompression for those beams, if it's 1 then you can tweak that number, if it has named variable then you can do like my previous message, also make sure you are editing a file the game loads, AFAIK the game priorities zip in mods over vanilla zips, then unpacked mods over that, then unpacked directly into userfolder/0.23/vehicles/yourvehicle as first priority, and then last make sure you have the part selected and is reloading the vehicle, I've had several times I've hit ctrl+r to soon and it ends up with a reset instead

I changed Beamprecompression to 0.8, broke the car completely
    --- Post updated ---
I literally changed every single beampresompression there is, and one even raised my car instead of lowering it

Problem solved, it's all on my end, the only problem I have now is the shaky suspension, which I have another thread for.
