No US plates, and no US counterparts that I can think of. Not that BeamNG mirrors real life exactly, but it doesn't make sense to me for it to be sold in the states.

No, it's realistic because the US Hatch market is very small and irl french cars are not sold in the United States.

Renault did export some cars to the US in the 80s, such as the Renault 9 and the Renault 5 (badged as the 'Le Car'). But French cars have never been popular with the yanks.
