inside the glass there's 2 flat objects. there's a semitransparent one which has the colour and 3d glass effect of the headlights. behind it there's an emission object with an animated texture as material. its a static image (white to transparent gradient) but it moves horizontally across the uv map. there is a specific uv map for this, which has the tailight unwrappped in a way that the textures moves linearly across the shape of the tailight. think of the tailight as a snake, well the uv map i just made it completely straight.
