Update Speculation thread

the body lines sorta remind me of the vivace so it might be a cherrier but is also reminds me a bit of a grand marshal at the front

 

Just on a side note I'm 100% positive that it's in-game. That looks like the same lighting setup as the vivace teaser video, has the same weird vertex shading as beam, and weird alpha on the windows

This is probably in the late development stages, my guess is that it's coming next update. It sure does look great, awesome stuff from the devs as always

 

Its a new sedan with Japanese, almost Mazda like styling, although the front grille is very Volvo, along with the harsh front lines. My money is on either Jagrl or Hirochi. I mentioned earlier that the front doors felt like sunburst doors (due to the placement of the window and belt lines, and the strong right angle, vertical window pillars), and i could certainly see this being a 202x sunburst.



personally, i'm going to believe that the exhaust and wing shown at the back are based in reality in some way, proving it to be an internal combustion vehicle with a sporty character at some trim level, like the Jaguar Project 8.

 

it looks a bit to large to be a sunburst

 

I already imagine a drift missile variant of that thing

 

this bad boy looks really big, I hope we'll finally get some big modern engines, at least more than 6 cylinders. The idea of hybridation excites me a lot too, it would be a great addition to the game's diversity and im sure that diamondback has the lua knowlegde to implement it perfectly

 

Cars are getting larger and larger so its possible for it to be a Sunburst I guess...

Or maybe a new Pessima, why not ?

 

Yeah i agree, i was just thinking that since the door pannels and general greenhouse shapes are really really simillar.

Hey, this is a bit offtopic, but Car_Killer posted these images earlier- do you think they're renders, or edited ingame images?

 

They're probably renders, because of the timy white car behing the 200BX, and Beamng looks way better since the PBR update, but not that good at the moment

 

this seems like too much of an upsize, the sunburst is compact and this looks like a full size sedan, a pessima would be more likely than a sunburst.

 

I'm certain they're renders as well, though the AO in the backdrop looks very beamng-map ish

The pessima would have been more akin to a corolla of the era- this new design looks much more upmarket, in my opinion.

Agree, gives me vibes from the new Acura cars. Obviously beam cars are ever based on one car, but still, upmarket Japanese is my best guess.

The Pessima (both generations) is actually a Midsize car, so the Camry/Accord models are better real-world soulmates than the Corolla/Civic ones are.
If this modern new car is American, then we're most certainly talking about a current-era Full-Size RWD Sedan, because that's what has the most interest!
