I wanted to work on the Aventador and also the Countach but I don't have time for now, I can't say if it will ever happen
Thanks for the info. - How hard is modding for beam? Do not want to derail this topic/car; it's fantastic! However, I am a modder for GTA V (pc SP) Map mods, vehicles mods, most areas I can work with, also some modeling (max/blender) I do not have the understanding with Beam but is getting a model most of the hard work? If so i can help you with this - if you are interested of course, I understand time maybe limited (I'm also working on SM 2.0 as well to release before Christmas) - I am more than happy to work with you to try and get something out. I can work on the models/textures etc, it's just the 'coding' side of I have no experience with. Feel free to PM me! All the best
Hey! I answer here because other people might be interested. Making a mod is not particularly hard beside some specific stuff like the JBeam because you can just see how other vehicles are made and adapt it for your vehicle (it's how I made the Gallardo). However it is EXTREMELY time consuming, the 3D model and the JBeam themselves takes dozen of hours of work if not hundreds for complex models, then you have to do each part, it's configuration and so on... Unlike GTA V, BeamNG drive models are soft body so you need to make all the moving parts like suspensions and so on. I would be very happy to collaborate with you although for now I don't have so much time to do so That being said if you want to improve the 3D model of the Gallardo the Github project of the mod is opened to commits, feel free to make a pull request!
If you have any issue with the mod, first make sure that it is not located in the mods/repo folder (it should be in the /mods folder) and delete those two folders before starting your game: C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\BeamNG.drive\latest\temp\vehicles\gallardo C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\BeamNG.drive\latest\vehicles\gallardo
I'm not sure if it's just me, but this thing seems subpar at braking. EDIT: It's just me lol, it brakes just fine compared to other cars. perhaps I'm just bad at stopping-
Your work on the Gallardo has been the best I've ever seen on a supercar for Beam, and I'd also love an Aventador mod eventually. Hell, If you wanted to sell it I'd buy it.
After finishing this mod, is there a possibility that you can also improve a Pagani Huayra mod aswell? Because there is a good pagani huayra mod, but I think it can still be improved. If its possible?
I got many requests I'll see what I can / want to do when I get more time, I probably won't do much until next summer I am busy
I like how he's getting an awful lot of requests on here. Like give the man at least some space, Jesus.
Small update today guys, nothing awesome but I wanted to release it v1.22 (10/06/2021) - Improved engine sound - Fixed front bumper shading
The Huayra mod was improved, though i'm not sure if it should be uploaded, because the server that it came from was deleted because of drama.
When you have time, could you change the materials for the black rims? They feel too black, like they've been sprayed with Vantablack or something. Maybe you can just make them a little lighter?
So I really like this mod, although I have 3 things that stood out to me. 1) Take off is super slow with all transmissions 2) Takes forever to build boost and is RPM based(like at 5k rpm it barely makes boost no matter the gear and if you're wide open throttle) 3) When tuned to 20PSI for the twin turbos, it only hits around 14, also in 6th gear it stutters at 7K rpm Like I said I enjoy this mod and the sounds of a Lamborghini V10 is such a pleasure to hear.
Hey! Thanks for your feedback, I tried to fix those issues but I was struggling I don't understand how turbo system works etc I may look at it again later on --- Post updated --- I released 1.22.1 it should've made things better
I downloaded the mod, but it's not appearing in the game. Why? Also, I cannot find the two folders you listed above.
