Originally made in 2014 for Rigs of Rods, I have been slowly reworking my Toyota for BeamNG, here are some screenshots of it currently (as of 10/06/21)

Much model rework is planned and will be done as I go along, so far I have edited the D-Series Jbeam to be weight and dimensionally accurate, still needs a lot of work on the running gear.

Some old photos and progress from 2014 below.

I'll be updating this thread along my journey of recreating this mod. Do not ask when or where this will be released, it will happen sometime.

My latest progress: (10/09/21) I created a set of stock 4WD 15" steel wheels along with a set of Dunlop Snow Cruiser tires which were an option back in the day.

Oh damn! That thing looks awesome. Is there gonna be coilover options instead of leaf springs? Those classic paint jobs look great to. Also of course have to add the important 'wen relez?'. Can't wait to give it a go when it's done. I'd be happy to do suspension and engine tuning if you're accepting help.

Cool as! As well as the petrol, will you make the diesel engines for it?

We need that livery in the revamp.

    I'm not asking.

What progress has been shown here is promising. Hopefully the Kodiak and GMT-400 pickups come over as well, I remember those in my last days in RoR.

Probably sticking with leaf springs for now, I would like a more stock truck to start with, maybe later things will come.

Engine options I currently have in mind are the 2.2L 20R i4, 2.4L 22R i4, and eventually the 2.2 N/A diesel offered in non USDM markets.

Your photo doesn't load, let me know what you're talking about.

I'll likely recreate them all once the body options are final, as I did with RoR.
If you're curious some of the factory options can be seen here: https://www.jamesdeancreations.com/Toyota Stripe Catalog 1981-88.pdf

A little more tire action, diving into substance painter.

And finally my latest progress, needed an entirely new frame, no idea what was going on with the old one.
Thanks to my handy 1986 Toyota Cab Chassis book and 1983 Factory Service Manual we can get some nice detail in there.

Old frame is pink, new is white, eventually be put into substance to put welds, rivets, etc. on the chassis.
Sneak peak of a 22RE model in there while I'm at it.

The stock engines and suspension is what i was refering to me tuning. Matching factory power and torque curves and the like.
