Thanks for the offer, but I think I've got that all handled. Not sure what this community's rules are with firearms/weapons ingame, I'll look into it. Todays progress (10/11/21): Stock 1963-83 Steel wheels and hubcaps.
There aren't any rules against weapons, we have working tanks, machine guns, flamethrowers and even anti-aircraft missile launchers on the repo, so you should be fine lol
Oh man, i could in future drive my first car (the one i never actually drove!). Is 2WD a consideration at the moment ? What about any performance engines? *cough*18RG*cough* Oh happy memories of all the things your not supposed to buy. That big wheel was just perfectly placed close to me and the pedals nice and far back, just look at that sumptuously upholstered interior ! I really wish i had the money at the time to keep it
Looking good! I know you mentioned that the frame and wheels will work with Physically Based Rendering. Will you be re-doing or modifying the body textures to work with PBR as well?
Great to know, thank you! Probably staying along the lines with the stock engine options for now. Correct, the plan is also to give the body and everything else the same PBR treatment as I plan to redo the entire shell. As it sits currently the basic diffuse doesn't do it any favors, neither does the lack of normal maps, specular and other new PBR features
Awesome. I'm looking forward to seeing it. I have to know- will there be a pizza planet config? The dull yellow color of the current version immediately brought it to mind. Also, are you planning on doing custom engine sounds?
Doing just a bit of research before I hop back into remaking the body. On another note, here is some current photos of the dashboard and some interior pieces.
Well, 1 flamethrower mod and not really destructive but still https://www.beamng.com/resources/pigeon-flamethrower.19903/
I believe I made this in 2016-2017, sometime around there, I believe the quality of it still stands today though. Needs some finishing touches, I'd also like to add some upper trim-level features such as this inclinometer. Here is the dash currently, needs some pieces.
Awesome!!! My first car was an 81 Pickup, I am very excited to be able to drive it in the game one day.
Some progress on the body-shell rework, matching the truck back to real dimensions and realizing the original model was far too skinny. Also been going through and reworking the flow and profile of each panel, moving along slowly but I figured I'd at least keep you in the know with my current progress. Old on the left, new on the right. Eventually every panel will be reworked.
