why would a japanese one suddenly appear? We haven't seen that on other Japanese cop cars.

this would also require making a RHD which makes me doubt it even more, but you never know I guess.

Sorry if you misunderstood my post, but it was not an Idea, but just speculation on what Devs could add to the Pessima.
I knew that it's lacking about police configurations, so I was just wondering which countries could be represented when the remaster would appear

For the 5 doors version, I just noticed that the "97 Mazda 626 has one, and the "96 Pessima is quite heavy based on it, so I thought it was possible that the remastered Pessima could have one too :)

I just imagined that Devs could add some stuff like this, I WASN'T asking for stuff like this :)

I think he understood, I mean it was actually an on-topic, speculative post
I don't think he was being sarcastic :)
A lot of your guesses make sense, and I do think official police variants will be added
Though, I don't think japan is going to make the cut (if they do add police variants)

Yes I don't really know if he was sarcastic, that's the problem with forums and written stuff on the internet, nobody really knows if his interlocutor is ironic or not

Yes, I think that Devs added carabinieri configs because we had the Italy map, but don't forget that we have two gendarmerie configuration, but no French map

I have been doing some calculations and stumbled upon some interesting information regarding engine sizes...

5.5L and 4.1L engines have same specific displacement (unlikely related due to very different design)

4.4L, 3.3L, and 2.2L engines have same specific displacement. It's not unheard of to have such parts sharing, especialy on small blocks like the 4400. It also happened with the GMC V6, as a huge 637ci V8 derived from the massive 478ci big-block V6. 2.5L and 3.8L engines also have same specific displacement, which would lead to a 5.1L V8.

2.7L V6 and 1.8L I4 engines have same specific displacement, but the V6 is DOHC, making it more likely (if at all) related to the 2.0.

The only Carabinieri config existing right now is for the Piccolina and I'd love to see more Carabinieri vehicles. For example, a Vivace S Carabinieri, with the 5-cylinder!
And since you mentioned the Gendarmerie configs, neither of them (Vivace S Gendarmerie and Sunburst Gendarmerie) have the right siren and nor do they have French license plates. The siren itself is available in the Parts Selector though.

True that. But, apart from the characteristic twin blue roof lights, the Hopper Carabinieri, with its khaki colour and spartan equipment, looks more like a military vehicle (which it actually is, if we think of its purpose). I'm talking about the Carabinieri vehicles as we all know them (with the characteristic "dark blue body - white roof - red lightning" livery and the twin blue lights on the roof that is)!

Yup, but maybe more with a powerful 4 cylinders, like this Peugeot 308 GTI peugeot-308-gti-carabinieri-2-.jpg

Btw a config that could be added for the new Pessima would be a Driving School one, like the Covet

Yep, I can easily imagine a Vivace 230S with the Carabinieri treatment (besides, the Sport Front Bumper has Police Lights as an option for its grille)! And since I see blue DRLs on this 308 GTi, I also think that police lights could also be implemented in the DRL Grille of the Vivace S Front Bumper fitted to the Arsenic models! And they could work just like the main DRLs when they're on: constant white when they're simply on, flashing blue when the rest of the police lights are enabled!
I'd also really like to see a line of Interceptor vehicles, with the most powerful engine available. Right now we only have Interceptor versions for the Bluebuck, the Grand Marshal and the Sunburst.

The Pessima would be great with a Driving School livery because the AWS version could show the Learners how different the driving experience gets in narrow areas!

I think the new Pessima could get some stuff from the old one like AWS, aerodynamic and high efficiency parts, rally version and hillclimb version, that would be cool

That's what the cars of the forestal divison (is that how it's called?) looked like, before they recently switched to bright green
