I could be a hot lead, it got a really modern Dodge Charger-esque on it. if yes it would be damn sexy!
I think we need a new sound for older V8s. The one that is used for the Bluebuck, Burnside, Barstow and etc is bland and boring...
Nah, I wouldn't say that. It sounds muscular and throaty enough for me! But the Devs could add a "crunchy" idle for spicing things up a bit in the older highly-tuned V8s!
@default0.0player generously made a mod for me that adds electronic, locking and torque vectoring diffs to the electric vivace drivetrain. Maybe if you ask him nicely he would be willing to do one for the ICE powered ones too. Speculation: Ever since CarKiller joined the official dev team, there has been no progress at all on the Ibishu Kashira Mod. A Minivan that was based on the pessima. With a pessima rework being in progress one could imagine a minivan version of it, similar to how the vivace came with its own SUV variant the Tograc.
Oh my!! Now that you say this, it would be nice for the electric cars to have LSDs. The only form of differential existing right now for EVs in BeamNG is the Welded Differential in the eSBR. It's very interesting! I'll see what I can do! Now, back to speculation: I believe that if there was a Minivan about to enter BeamNG, then BeamNG devs would give it its own "marketing campaign", because it's a markedly different car than its Sedan counterpart. The Tograc, on the other hand, is only slightly different from the Vivace: different bumpers, side mouldings and a slightly raised suspension for giving the car a more SUV-like appearance.
the eSBR doesn't need an LSD, since it already has torque vectoring. on the topic of a minivan, it's possible, since they tend to release a partner car with each remaster, but with the vehicle team already spread between the pessima and van remaster, and the new car, I don't really see that being all too likely. As an alternative to the minivan, what if phase II of the grand marshal remaster is also happening now? presuming that the new car is a Gavril (blah blah, similarities to the omega), it would make sense for them to expand the config lineup as they did when the bluebuck came out, and with the added tie-in of the gavril assets that are already being made for the van, it seems kind of reasonable.
Yes but Torque Vectoring by braking isn't exactly the best thing to equip a sports car. I don't think the Phase II of the Grand Marshal remastering is happening even as we speak but it certainly has many details in need of improvement/correction and equally as many details that could expand the choices for this platform!
A minivan in Beam would be great, but unlikely. The only relation that the Pessima and the Kashira have is that they are based on the same platform. Also, Car_Killer HAS been working on the mod quite a bit, such as introducing PBR and fixing all of the No Texture issues. He has kept the modified mod private as he will have to ask everyone who initially worked on the mod in order to release it, but he did upload a picture to the documentation here. Why would he still be working on the mod (and labeling it as an early WIP screenshot) if he knew it was coming in the remaster?
my hot guess the Pessima will receive a Coupe bodystyle since it would fit the 2000s Coupe niche very well but lets see!
It would indeed be awesome if electric drivetrains would have the same driveline options as their ICE counterparts. Not even sure why the devs didnt add them in the firstplace.... it isnt that much work I would assume. Interestingly, the electric Vivace does not use the electronic differential (brake based E-Diff) as the instant torque nature of electric motors and resulting significant usage at spirited driving tends to overheat the brakes much sooner than its ICE counterparts (that do use it)
At first I thought it's not technically possible for a normal electric car to have an LSD because the electric motor is right in the middle of the axle but then I saw the Nissan Ariya having an LSD in its highest performing version so yeah, BeamNG could very well integrate LSDs in the electric drivetrains! But before the LSD integration, I think the "ESC/TC - Electric Motors" systems have to go through further development in order to support both Open and LSD/Active/Torque Vectoring/Locking/Electronically Locking/Welded diffs. And then, why not, the devs could also develop a version of this system for hybrid or electric drivetrains with an electric motor in each wheel. Who knows? P.S.: I think it's the Nissan Ariya, I'm not 100% sure. But I certainly noticed this technology!
So i was reading this https://wiki.beamng.com/Modeling_and_Texturing_Guide and under the final texturing paragraph there's This So possibly soon maybe?
