ETK is based on Mercedes/BMW, I think making up a new brand would be best. Volkswagen is just "People's Car" in german so it can't be too hard to come up with something.
but thats the thing, theres already a volkswagen car in the ETK line, the A-Series(yes i know, its a mod, but i doubt the creator of the mod will be changing the name or company of the car)
Hmm idk, but i dont think that ETK already existed since 1930s so maybe is a better choice change the brand, also im still making the new brand for it.
Wolfsburg? Also you could technically take the drivetrain etc from the Piccolina, because the piccolina is a Fiat 600 with Beetle Drivetrain and engine, you could say for lore that Autobello got a license to build the drivetrain from Wolfsburg. Oh and for someone who doesn't understand why Wolfsburg: thats the city where vw sits
Yup, but the brand that i am making will not be named "Wolfsburg", also some parts of the autobello will be used on this car too.
Except the Autobello engines are more powerful than the Beetle ones. Idk if they should be nerfed for this mod or kept the same
Maybe will be nerfed because this car is more old that the autobello, but this car will have more engine variants too in future.
Well, BMW and Mercedes are pretty old companies. Actually older than VW. Also, Mercedes also built something like a Beetle even before the Beetle (the 130). So, in my opinion, ETK is really fitting for this car, specially being the predecessor to the ETK A-series.
Since ETK is based off of Mercedes that would actually make it the first car brand in-universe, as Mercedes has been around since 1883. But Volkswagen was founded specifically for the Beetle.
For more that BMW and Mercedes and very old dont mean much that ETK can be that old too because ETK is a reference brand to the BMW so idk, well uhh look like i will have to do a vote in future to see if the car will be from ETK or not lol , also im planning the price of this car be the price of a Beetle but kinda more expensive if gonna stay in ETK.
In terms of suspension they are similar but the engines of the Piccolina are literally all a copy of the Beetle ones except more powerful for some reason
Idk if this is still a bump even if its my own thread but after much times of not working on this project i have restarted working on it, probably the polyflow is still not thats good but atleast im improving my skills on modelling as the model is made from scratch, also i was thinking to change the brand for AW when i ask and get permission from nekkit if i can use, i will change also the name on something im still trying to think. Here some of the progress photos for now, more stuffs will be done for it later and i hope you all enjoy it for now!.
